Judi Dench Returns as M in Bond 23
When I think about Bond movies, there’s always Judi Dench on my mind.
Don’t know why, maybe because she has already starred in six Bond films with her first appearance in 1995′s Goldeneye? Obviously.
So, it’s quite logical that the legendary actress will return as M, 007′s boss, in the new movie that, at this moment, has the working title Bond 23.
That’s exactly what we heard straight from Judi Dench last night at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards:
“Yes, I can’t tell you anything at all! Nothing… my lips are sealed,” she said, but then added: “You get to work with Daniel Craig. You get to go on location if you are very lucky and you get to wear a few sharp suits.

James Bond movie bosses want Rachel Weisz to join lover Daniel Craig in the next 007 film, The Sun disclosed. But not just any villain, the head of Quantum, which is the secret organization responsible for all the trouble in the last two installments. While there have been several actresses who have played villains in the Bond franchise, this will be the first time that one would play the mastermind.
Mi6 opposed the announcement, on the other hand. The Sun’s inside source said:
Casting Rachel was going to be a surprise twist as everyone would assume she’d be a Bond girl when really she would play a villain. But the fly in the ointment is that they are now dating.”

According to MI6, Bond 23 will begin production in late 2010. Daniel Craig told fans outside the Broadway theatre for his play “A Steady Rain” that production will kick off at the “end of next year.
It will be the third 007 installment starring Craig. His previous two films, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace,” earned $594 million and $586 million, respectively, at the worldwide box office.

The next installment in the James Bond franchise is being written by returning scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace), and “The Queen”, “The Last King of Scotland”, and “Frost/Nixon” scribe Peter Morgan.
