Here’s the brand new poster for the upcoming animated movie Megamind from DreamWorks Animation. The film features the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill.
When super villain Megamind (Ferrell) defeats his archrival Metro Man (Pitt), the world should be his oyster. But instead, Megamind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a point for him. So, he creates a new superhero rival, Titan (Hill). Unfortunately, the new hero wants to be a super villain, too. Caught in the middle, star reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Fey) asks the tough questions: Who can we turn to? Who has what it takes to stand up to this menace? Who will defend the innocent? Megamind! Today we have the second trailer for the upcoming animated superhero comedy Megamind that features the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fey.
Megamind is the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known. And the least successful. Over the years, he has tried to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way. Each attempt, a colossal failure thanks to the caped superhero known as ‘Metro Man,’ an invincible hero until the day Megamind actually kills him in the throes of one of his botched evil plans. Brad Pitt In Darren Aronofsky’s The Tiger
When you see this kind of title, then you already know some adventure thriller is coming. But, trust us, this is even more, because two well-known names are involved in the whole project: Brad Pitt and Darren Aronofsky. Yes, exactly!
Ok, maybe you were little disappointed with The Fountain thing, but still, let’s give them another chance and see this upcoming movie, based on a forthcoming book called The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival.
So, this is how the story goes: “It’s December 1997 and a man-eating tiger is on the prowl outside a remote village in Russia’s Far East. The tiger isn’t just killing people, it’s annihilating them, and a team of men and their dogs must hunt it on foot through the forest in the brutal cold.
Sofia Vergara Joins Smurfs, Happy Feet Two
Sofia Vergara, star of the ABC’s hit comedy Modern Family, has been cast in the big screen production of the Smurfs, the Raja Gosnell-directed adaptation of the ’80s cartoon series that Columbia Pictures will release in summer 2011.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Colombian actress will play Odile, an executive at a French cosmetics company who is married to the character played by Neil Patrick Harris.
Filming will start in New York next week.
Will Ferrell’s Megamind Trailer
DreamWorks has released the teaser trailer for their animated movie Megamind. Will Ferrell stars in the title role, while his arch nemesis Metro Man will be played by none other than Brad Pitt.
In the film, Megamind has defeated Metro Man and has found himself bored and without purpose. He tries to create another foe in the form of Titan, a young hero who will be voiced by Judd Apatow alum, Jonah Hill. The film will also feature Tina Fey as the female lead, a news reporter who’s keeping track of the hero-villain antics.

First Eat, Pray, Love Photos
The first photos from upcoming drama Eat, Pray, Love have arrived.

Scott Kosar Writing Vlad
Screenwriter Scott Kosar has been hired to rewrite Summit Entertainment’s action horror film Vlad. Kosar has some experience in the genre after having written the remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, the Amityville Horror and The Crazies.
Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) wrote the original script.
Vlad, which is produced by Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner through their Plan B label, will revolve around Dracula as a young prince known as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth.
Sherlock Holmes 2 News
Director Guy Ritchie is setting aside his DC Comics adaptation “Lobo” to direct “Sherlock Holmes 2.”
Joel Silver, who is also the producer on “Lobo” alongside Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Rona, told The LA Times:
“I don’t think he’s going to do it now,” when asked about the prospect of Ritchie directing “Lobo.” “The studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another Sherlock Holmes. So I think we’re going to be doing that.”
As for “Lobo,” Silver said they will probably be looking for a different director to come onboard:
Silver said “Lobo” remains a viable project. In the 1980s, the character was a wickedly funny parody of the antiheroes Wolverine and Punisher, characters that now have a combined seven film appearances to their credit.
Sandra Bullock Top Money-Making Star of 2009
Sandra Bullock has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2009 in Quigley Publishing Company’s 78th Annual Poll of Exhibitors and is the first female to win since Julia Roberts in 1999. Bullock is the eighth woman chosen #1 in the Poll’s 78 year history. She appeared in three films in 2009, “The Blind Side,” “The Proposal” and “All About Steve.”
Johnny Depp placed second this year based on “Public Enemies” and a small role in “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.” He was #1 in 2006 and 2007. Matt Damon made his second appearance in the survey, placing #3 with 2009 roles in “Invictus” and “The Informant!” Although George Clooney, placing #4, has never won in his seven mentions in the Poll, he had an extremely productive year with “Up in the Air,” “The Men Who Stare at Goats” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox”(voice). Robert Downey Jr.’s performances in “Sherlock Holmes” and “The Soloist” helped him place #5. He was #2 in 2008.
