Alain Corneau’s Crime d’amour (Love Crime) is a pitiless tale of office politics played out by two ruthless executives, delectably portrayed by the inspired Kristin Scott Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier.

We have heard about the remake of the French drama a few months before the time Love Crime hit theaters in US (September 2nd 2011). It’s obvious that Brian de Palma is wasting no time moving forward on Passion, his remake of above-mentioned psychodrama, which is ready up for a March 5th shoot date in Berlin.

It’s nice to see Brian De Palma is back. We almost forgot about his 2007 Iraq drama Redacted and ok, there were some rumors about his future projects, but this time we have something quite interesting to announce.

De Palma is reportedly on board to direct The Key Man for QED International and Safehouse Pictures and as we learned – a good thriller is coming.

After all, they already describe it as a throwback to paranoid 70s movies like Three Days of the Condor and Marathon Man.

Brian De Palma has signed on to direct a remake of the French thriller Crime D’Amour or if you prefer Love Crime.

I guess you already knew some remake was coming (and what else, we’re living in the remake-world!), but we hope that this time, with De Palma on board, this could be an interesting story…

So, Love Crime will be Passion this time, and will be set in the UK.

The original revolved around two executives, one of whom is driven to murder the other.

Here’s a synopsis part: “In the sterile offices of a large multinational company, Isabelle works for Christine, a powerful woman whom she greatly admires.

Brian De Palma will direct ”The Boston Stranglers”

The Boston Stranglers - 1968Brian De Palma has signed on to direct The Boston Stranglers, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on Susan Kelly‘s non-fiction book The Boston Stranglers: The Public Conviction Of Albert DeSalvo And The True Story Of Eleven Shocking Murders, the film charts the murders attributed to an infamous Boston serial killer in the ’60s.

Alan Rosen will pen the film’s screenplay with Gale Anne Hurd acting as producer.

The thriller will detail the early ’60s Beantown killings and their controversial resolution.
