Tangled Featurette: Creating The Look
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a behind the scenes featurette for their new CGI animated film Tangled. The three minute behind the scenes documentary takes a look at the unique look of the new film.
Based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm titled Rapunzel, Tangled will revolve around Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore) who has been kept in a tower for eighteen years after she was stolen from her parents’ castle as an infant. The golden-haired princess now escapes and goes on the run with a bandit as her captor pursues them.

Tangled (Rapunzel) – First Look
Disneylicious posted the first official footage from the upcoming animated film Tangled that will debut this Sunday during a new episode of Sonny with a Chance at 8/7c on The Disney Channel.
Walt Disney presents Tangled, (formerly Rapunzel) an action-packed, swashbuckling, animated musical comedy about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. A princess stolen from her parents’ castle as a baby, Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore) is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit (voice of Zachary Levi).
Disney’s Tangled Logo
Walt Disney has released a new logo for Tangled, an action-packed 3-D animated musical comedy, formerly titled Rapunzel.
The film’s producer, Roy Conli, announced the title change almost as an aside when talking about the film’s plot here.
“In our film, the infamous bandit Flynn Rider meets his match in the girl with the 70 feet of magical golden hair. We’re having a lot of fun pairing Flynn, who’s seen it all, with Rapunzel, who’s been locked away in a tower for 18 years,” said Conli. Rider’s voiced by Chuck’s Zachary Levi and Rapunzel herself by Mandy Moore.
New title will hopefully attract both boy and girl audiences.
Disney’s Rapunzel Retitled Tangled
Producer Roy Conli announced, via the Walt Disney Animation Studios Facebook page, that next movie Rapunzel is now entitled Tangled.
Conli explains on the Disney Animation Facebook page:
“Hey everyone, I’m Roy Conli, producer of Disney’s next animated film. I have some exciting news to share, and it was important to me that YOU guys – the Disney fans – hear it first. I want to tell you about Walt Disney Animation Studio’s 2010 release, Tangled. It’s a really fresh, smart take on the Rapunzel story. In our film, the infamous bandit Flynn Rider meets his match in the girl with the 70 feet of magical golden hair. We’re having a lot of fun pairing Flynn, who’s seen it all, with Rapunzel, who’s been locked away in a tower for 18 years. I’m so proud of the crew working on this film – they’re doing a fantastic job creating an awesome story with great characters and a stunning world – and it’s all going to look amazing in 3D. All of us here at the studio are incredibly excited for you to see Tangled when it comes out in theaters this November.”

DisneyPixar.fr has posted a new image from Walt Disney Pictures’ 3D film “Rapunzel,” directed by Byron Howard (Let It Begin, Bolt) and Nathan Greno (Super Rhino, Let It Begin).
