“Burlesque” will revolve around Ali (Christina Aguilera), a small-town girl who tries to pursue her dreams in Los Angeles. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater, she lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Enraptured by Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography, the young ingenue vows to perform there one day.
“Priest” Release Date Moved Up
Screen Gems has moved the release date for “Priest” up from October 1, 2010 to August 27. “Priest” will be taking the spot of Milla Jovovich horror sequel “Resident Evil: Afterlife.” “Resident Evil” has been moved back to a new opening date of January 14th, 2011.
The film, based on a TokyoPop comic book, is set in a world of centuries of war between mankind and the vampire race, which centers on a warrior priest who turns against the church when his niece is kidnapped by a murderous band of vampires which he goes tracking down.
“Priest”, written and directed by Scott Stewart, stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer, Lily Collins, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif and Madchen Amick. [source: STYD]
German Pandorum Poster
Overture Films has released this new German poster for their upcoming sci-fi horror-thriller “Pandorum.”
In “Pandorum,” actors, Dennis Quaid (Traffic, Far from Heaven, Vantage Point) and Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, Alpha Dog), join Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Twilight, The Unborn), Cung Le (Tekken, Fighting), newcomer Antje Traue and director Christian Alvart (Antibodies) to tell the terrifying story of two crew members stranded on a spacecraft who quickly realize they are not alone. Science fiction/horror film is written by Travis Milloy.
Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. Corporal Bower (Foster), the younger of the two, crawls inside, while the other, Lt. Payton (Quaid), stays behind for guidance on a radio transmitter. As Bower ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.

Stephen Moyer And Lily Collins Join “Priest”
Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins have joined the cast of “Priest” - Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Karl Urban and Maggie Q.
The upcoming Screen Gems’ movie is an adaptation of Min-Woo Hyung’s graphic novel of the same name.
Scott Stewart (“Legion“) is directed from the script written by Cory Goodman.
“Priest” centers on a warrior priest Ivan Isaacs (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) who is part vampire and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped the priest’s niece.

Here’s an international, not so creepy, poster for “Pandorum” and also the new release date for the upcoming film which now will open in wide release on September 25, 2009 (previously dated September 18, 2009).

Priest Poster
Sony Screen Gems has launched the official site of the upcoming adaptation of the hit manga “Priest” and here is the first poster featuring shot of Paul Bettany.
Plot summary: Based on the comic book by Min-Woo Hyung, Priest centers on a warrior priest (Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) who is part vampire and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped the priest’s niece.
The film being both written and directed by Scott Charles Stewart (Legion)
“Priest” comes to theaters August 13, 2010.
Scheuring To Direct Remake Of German “Das Experiment”
Forest Whitaker, Adrien Brody, Elijah Wood and Cam Gigandet will star in “The Experiment,” a remake of the 2001 German psychological thriller “Das Experiment.”
“Das Experiment,” directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, centered on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.
Paul Scheuring, “Prison Break” creator, will direct from his screenplay.
Brody will portray the de facto leader of the prisoners while Whitaker will play a guard who’s corrupted by the power he’s given.
Filming begins in Iowa next month.
Brody’s recent credits include “Cadillac Records” and “The Brothers Bloom.”
Whitaker stars in the upcoming “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Repossession Mambo” and “My Own Love Song.” He’s also set to star in, direct and co-write the Louis Armstrong biopic “What a Wonderful World.”
