More “The Box” Photos And Poster
Take a look at a batch of photos and new poster for Richard Kelly – directed supernatural thriller “The Box” which opens theaters tomorrow.
The movie is based on the short story “Button, Button” by Richard Matheson (”Duel,” “I am Legend“) stars Frank Langella, Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, James Rebhorn, Gillian Jacobs, Holmes Osborne and Celia Weston.

Photos of Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet
The first pictures of Seth Rogen in character from Columbia Pictures’ “The Green Hornet” has popped up online. Over at Splash News, they’ve posted a couple of behind the scenes photos that feature both Rogen and Jay Chou as his sidekick, Kato.
The story follows the adventures of Brit Reid (Rogen). A wealthy publisher of The Daily Sentinel by day, Reid roams as a masked crime fighter by night, dedicated to protecting the lives and rights of the city’s citizens. Reid is accompanied by Kato (Jay Chou), a chauffeur/bodyguard/personal assistant during business hours who transforms into a masked sidekick with a knack for martial arts when the sun goes.
Paul Dano Joins Cruise And Diaz In “Wichita”
Paul Dano will star alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in action comedy, formerly titled “Wichita.”
The movie will be directed by James Mangold (”3:10 to Yuma,” “Walk the Line,” “Kate & Leopold“). Scott Frank and Dana Fox wrote the script but Mangold rewrote the screenplay with Laeta Kalogridis (”Shutter Island“).
The story follows a secret agent Milner (Cruise) who finds himself teamed with a Midwestern single woman June (Diaz) who has had terrible luck with men.
Dano will play a charming but mysterious scientist whose invention is at the center of Cruise and Diaz’s chase.
The movie will also star Maggie Grace and Marc Blucas.
Christoph Waltz In Green Hornet
Christoph Waltz has signed on to play the villain in Columbia Pictures’ action comedy “The Green Hornet.”
Nicolas Cage was close to signing on but Austrian actor, who won the best actor award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for his role in “Inglourious Basterds,” replaces him.
Waltz will play Chudnofsky, a Los Angeles crime boss who tries to unite the city’s various gangs in order to form a supermafia.
Along with title character Seth Rogen who is also one of the executive producers of the movie and co-writer of the screenplay with Evan Goldberg also a co-executive producer, additional stars remaining in the movie are Cameron Diaz (as Lenore Case) and Jay Chou (as Kato).
Nicolas Cage Will Not Star In Green Hornet
Nicolas Cage was to play the villain in the highly anticipated movie “The Green Hornet” being directed by Michel Gondry, but the actor and the studio were not able to come to terms on a deal.
There is no word as to who will replace Nicolas Cage in the movie which has already had delays due to changes – Stephen Chow was replaced and his role as Kato has been taken over by Jay Chou.
Columbia had no comment but according to sources “the studio is on the hunt for a new bad guy.”
There will be no photos of Nicolas Cage as villain as there were no scenes shot with Cage for the movie, which just began principal photography in Los Angeles.

Jay Chou As Kato In “The Green Hornet”
Columbia Pictures has confirmed that Taiwanese actor Jay Chou (”Curse of the Golden Flower”) has been cast as Kato in Michel Gondry – directed “The Green Hornet.”
Chou got the part after Stephen Chow backed out of the role. Chou is an actor and singer and huge Asian star.
“Jay is incredibly unique and charming and fights like a wild dog! When I filmed him next to Seth, they had such great chemistry, and I knew the movie will be great,” Gondry said.
“It’s an overwhelming experience to take on a role made famous by Bruce Lee. I won’t try to be Bruce Lee’s Kato, I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part. Of course, it’s a dream role, and I’m looking forward to the challenge,” said Chou.
Cameron Diaz Will Star In Green Hornet
Earlier this month we wrote that Cameron Diaz is in talks to star in “The Green Hornet.” Today it’s been confirmed that she will play the female lead, a reporter and love interest, in the Sony Pictures comedy superhero project.
Diaz will co-star with Seth Rogen as Lenore Case in the movie about a millionaire playboy who becomes a masked vigilante by night aided by his sidekick Kato.
“Lenore, yes, and I think that’s all I can tell you or else I would have to kill you. I read the whole script. I know what happens exactly, and I’m not telling you,” she told MTV.
“The Green Hornet” will be directed by Michel Gondry from the script by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Gondry described Diaz’s role San Diego Comic-Con as “a crime specialist” and “a big fan of the forensics TV shows”. Her character will unwittingly help the titular hero and his associate on their first series of missions.
It was earlier announced that Nicolas Cage is in early talks to play the gangster villain.
“The Green Hornet” is set to start shooting in the next few months and Sony planning to release it on July 9th, 2010.
