Brand New Where the Wild Things Are Trailer
A brand new trailer for “Where the Wild Things Are“, adapted by Academy Award-nominated director Spike Jonze from the best selling book by author Maurice Sendak, has now been released.
The film follows the adventure of Max (Max Records), a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room after rebelling against his mother (Catherine Keener). Max’s imagination is free to roam, and it soon transports him to a thriving forest bordering a vast sea. Delighted, he sets sail for the land of the Wild Things, where mischief reigns and Max rules. In bringing this imaginative fantasy to life, Jonze leads a team of filmmakers incorporating the most dynamic elements of voice performance, live-action puppetry and computer animation.

We’ve got today a great poster for Spike Jonze’s adventure film “Where the Wild Things Are,” an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story where Max, a little boy creates his own world, a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.
The adventure film will use a unique process to bring the story to life, incorporating the most dynamic elements of voice performance, live-action puppetry and computer animation.
“Where the Wild Things Are” voiced by Forest Whitaker, Paul Dano, Max Records, Catherine Keener, James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara and Lauren Ambrose is set to hit theaters on October 16th.
The first three-minute trailer for the Spike Jonze-directed “Where the Wild Things Are” will show up in front of “Monsters vs Aliens” on March 27th, 2009.
Trailer for Sam Mendes’ “Away We Go”
Focus Features has debuted the trailer for comedy “Away We Go,” starring John Krasinski (The Office) and Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live).
“Away We Go” follows the journey of an expectant couple (Krasinski and Rudolph), as they travel the U.S. in search of a place to put down roots and raise a family.
Rounding out the cast are Jeff Daniels, Carmen Ejogo, Jim Gaffigan, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Josh Hamilton, Allison Janney, Melanie Lynskey, Chris Messina, Catherine O’Hara, and Paul Schneider.
The film is directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road) from an original screenplay by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida.
“Away We Go” is scheduled to appear in theaters on June 5th, in limited release.
Jeff Daniels and Catherine O’Hara Join Mendes’ Romantic Comedy
Jeff Daniels and Catherine O’Hara have been added to the cast of Sam Mendes‘ romantic comedy for Universal’s Focus Features, which is set to start production this week in Connecticut.
They join Maya Rudolph, John Krasinski, Allison Janney, Cheryl Hines, Toni Collette, and more.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the not-yet-named film follows the journey of an expectant couple traveling the U.S. in search of the right place to put down their roots and raise a family.
Mendes is directing off an original screenplay by Dave Eggers (Where the Wild Things Are) and his wife, novelist Vendela Vida.
Rounding out the cast are Carmen Ejogo, Jim Gaffigan, Melanie Lynskey, Chris Messina, Kevin J. O’Connor and Paul Schneider.
