Helena Bonham Carter Joins “The King’s Speech”

Tom Hooper’s period drama “The King’s Speech” is growing its cast.

Helena Bonham Carter, Jennifer Ehle, Guy Pearce, Derek Jacobi, Timothy Spall and Michael Gambon have all recently joined the project.

Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are already set to headline “The King’s Speech.”

Tom Hooper, who last directed the English football drama “The Damned United” will direct from the script which was written by David Seidler.

The screenplay follows the relationship between King George VI and speech therapist Lionel Logue, who helped the royal lose his stammer and embrace his leadership skills.

Tom Hooper recently started principle photography on movie in England with a planned release in late 2010.

Charles Dickens’ beloved holiday story “A Christmas Carol” gets the 3D treatment, and the result is a visually stunning big-screen experience I’m sure many cinema goers out there will enjoy to the fullest extent. As far as I’m concerned, my feelings about this one are mixed.
The story doesn’t really require a lengthy introduction. The holiday season is in full swing, and Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) despises Christmas and everyone celebrating it. MPC has updated their website with some behind-the-scenes VFX breakdowns of what you can see in “Dorian Gray.”

Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) is a young man of impossible physical beauty whose portrait painted by the artist Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin). Drawn into a corrupt and sensual life by the dissolute Lord Henry Wotton (Colin Firth), Dorian remains young and beautiful, while the painting ages in his stead.

The movie directed from the script by Toby Finlay also stars Emilia Fox as Lady Victoria Wotton, Rebecca Hall as Emily Wotton and Rachel Hurd-Wood as Sybil Vane.
