Tom Cruise to Star in Comedy “Food Fight”
Tom Cruise has been linked to Universal’s new high school cafeteria comedy “Food Fight“.
Cruise would play a snooty New York chef who, for some odd reason, is forced to cook in a school cafeteria.
Taking a step into comedy sounds like a good step for Cruise. As already said, he’s terrific in “Tropic Thunder“. He’s never really made a purely comedic film, only films with comedic elements, and that’s not for want of comedy talent.
Veteran scribe Adam Brooks who wrote and directed the enjoyable film “Definitely, Maybe” is attached to write the screenplay. A search for a director is under way.
Cruise next stars in historical action film “Valkyrie“, in which he plays a very serious role: Klaus von Stauffenberg, the Nazi commander who plotted to kill Hitler. I can’t wait to see it. From sneak preview reports – it’s a must-see movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
