“College” Restricted Clip

The trailer for the upcoming comedy “College” has been released, showing a bunch of high-school kids desperately trying to pick up some college chicks.

A new outrageous comedy, is the story of three high school seniors (Drake Bell, Andrew Caldwell and Kevin Covais) who visit a local college campus as prospective freshman anticipating the best weekend of their lives. Once there, the rowdiest fraternity on campus (featuring Nick Zano, Gary Owen and Zach Cregger) decides to recruit the boys as “pledges,” subjecting them to endless humiliations, in return for granting them access to the no-holds-barred college party scene. But once the boys catch the eye of some of the older sorority girls (Haley Bennett, Camille Mana and Natalie Walker), the threatened Frat-boys increase the pre-frosh humiliation and blackmail them by threatening to expose their age. Today, we have second restricted trailer for the upcoming comedy “Step Brothers“, which brings all the laughter to theaters on July 25.

In “Step Brothers,” Will Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). John C. Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. Reilly.

‘The Promotion’The poster for the upcoming comedy “The Promotion” has been released, featuring John C Reilly (Step Brothers, Walk Hard) and Seann William Scott (Road Trip, Old School, The Dukes of Hazzard) intensely looking at each other. The tagline states: “Two guys. One job. No rules.”In the new movie, two assistant managers (Reilly, Scott) of a corporate grocery store vie for a coveted promotion.

“The Promotion” is written and directed by Steve Conrad, who has previously provided script for such films as “The Pursuit of Happyness” and “The Weather Man.” His new movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 6th.

MGM picks up ‘Adventures in the Land of Zametherea’

MGMContinuing its buying streak, MGM has pre-emptively picked up a high-concept fantasy comedy spec script from Peter Speakman and Michael M.B. Galvin that might be up for the longest title of the year award: “Executive VP, David M. Murch’s Adventures in the Land of Zametherea.”Rick Alexander, Rick Benattar and Jim Wedaa are producing.

The story centers on a boy who has the ability to travel to a magical land, but after coming home and telling his parents about his adventures, they have him committed. The boy grows into a coldhearted executive, then gets the call to return to the magical land. The man must get help from his estranged son to save the land.

Cale Boyter is overseeing for MGM.

The script went out Wednesday morning and sold by mid-afternoon. The deal was $850,000 against $1.35 million.

Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver are ready for ‘Motherhood’

Uma ThurmanUma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards are teaming for the sub-$10 million indie comedy “Motherhood” says Variety.The day-in-the-life feature has Thurman as a harried mother of two prepping for her daughter’s sixth birthday party as myriad urban challenges confront her.

Driver and Edwards will play Thurman’s best friend and husband, respectively. Katherine Dieckmann penned and will direct the project which undergoes a 25-day shoot in New York next month.
