Brand New MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED Poster
DreamWorks Animation has released a brand new poster for Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. In the sequel, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the gang decided that it was time that they return to New York City, but their plane crash-landed in the heart of Africa and, of course, trouble ensued. Now, everyone’s favorite animal entourage returns in their first 3D adventure, Madagascar 3, in which they once again try to return to their home at the Central Park Zoo only to end up getting stranded in Europe, hooked up with a traveling circus and pursued by the police.
DreamWorks Animation Adapting Sid & Marky Krofft’s Lidsville
DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. today announced that it will bring the well-loved Sid & Marty Krofft characters from the 1970′s television series Lidsville to the big screen in a feature film by the same name.
Conrad Vernon (Monsters vs. Aliens, Shrek 2) – animation veteran and lifelong fan of the Krofft’s work – brought the project to DreamWorks Animation. Brothers Sid & Marty Krofft will serve as executive producers. Vernon, DreamWorks Animation’s head of development Alex Schwartz and development executive Chris Kuser are overseeing the project at the studio.
“Sid and I have had a longstanding relationship with Jeffrey Katzenberg and we’re excited to bring Lidsville to DreamWorks Animation,” said Marty Krofft. “It’s incredible to envision a high-quality 3D animated movie being made out of one of our favorite shows.”
Two New Monsters vs. Aliens Featurettes
A brand new featurettes for the DreamWorks‘ upcoming animated “Monsters vs Aliens” has been released. The videos take a look at the “Monster” characters as well as the process of 3-D filmmaking.
Susan Murphy aka Ginormica (Reese Witherspoon), is a modern-day California girl who has the bad luck to be hit by a meteor on her wedding day and grows to be 49 feet, 11½ inches tall. Ginormica is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger (Kiefer Sutherland), on a desperate order from The President, the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!
Aside from Witherspoon and Sutherland, other actors joining the film include Hugh Laurie (Dr. Cockroach, PhD), Seth Rogen (the jellylike B.O.B.), Will Arnett (the half-ape, half-fish Missing Link), Stephen Colbert (the president), and finally, Rainn Wilson (the evil alien Gallaxhar).
Monsters Vs. Aliens Teaser Poster
The first teaser posters for the upcoming DreamWorks animation’ flick (’50s monster movie remake) “Monsters vs. Aliens” has been released and features one of their few funny characters, big gooey blue Blob, voiced by Seth Rogen.
