New DARK SHADOWS Photo Features Johnny Depp
We have another great image from the upcoming Dark Shadows movie and this time it’s all about Barnabas Collins!
As you see the new image once again shows us that this movie definitely has a lot of potential, at least when it comes to costumes. I mean – just look at Johnny Depp!
New DARK SHADOWS Image Online
Look! This Barnabas isn’t look too much like Willy Wonka or the Mad Hatter here that those initial set photos suggested. Plus Johnny Depp is looking twenty years younger next to Michelle Pfeiffer who looks flustered, plus check out those amazing costumes designed by three time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood.
New DARK SHADOWS Set Photos
Don’t know why, but I’m somehow interested in the upcoming Dark Shadows project. Not because it’s one of those Tim Burton‘s big budget movies, but because I’m actually really interested to see Michelle Pfeiffer.
It’s just that she looks so unreal in this one, and with every new photo I’m more and more turned on. And no, I don’t have a crush on Pfeiffer! I’m here just to present some new fresh photos from the whole thing, so give me a break!
As you already know, the 1972-set film version focuses on Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp), who was transformed into a vampire by a jilted lover Angelique (Eva Green) way back in the 1700s and buried. He’s just been dug up, and attempts to reintegrate with his descendants, led by Michelle Pfeiffer’s character Elizabeth and Jonny Lee Miller‘s Roger – despite the fact that Angelique is still around and still not in a forgiving mood.
Well, I’m looking at these photos, and I must say – they convinced me!
Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS First Official Photo
So, we’re all excited about this project I guess? Then let’s get straight to the business. We finally have first look from Tim Burton‘s upcoming Dark Shadows, and trust me, they really look dark!
Especially Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer. And Eva Green is not green, she’s blonde! What the hell happened to them – I have no idea, but it looks that Burton has done some great job with this one.
This picture (thanks to EW) looks like a little reminder to all of us, just in case we ever forget who stars in this movie.
Maybe it’s one of those photos that Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz, Eva Green, Gulliver McGrath, Bella Heathcote, Ray Shirley, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller and Michelle Pfeiffer would love to forget, but sorry guys – the damage is done!

And, all of the sudden, it looks that Cooper will join Depp for the upcoming Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows.

Jonny Lee Miller Joins Dark Shadows – Filming Starts this Week
A marathon runner who ran the 2010 New York Marathon, aka Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband has joined the ranks of the Dark Shadows cast in the form of Jonny Lee Miller.
Creator Dan Curtis had a dream in 1965 of a peculiar young woman who was on a train. The next day Curtis told his wife of the dream and pitched TV show idea to ABC. Network officials greenlight production. The rest is history. Dark Shadows is a gothic soap opera that originally aired on the ABC TV network, from June 27, 1966. The show became hugely popular when vampire Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) appeared a year into its initial run.
Chloe Moretz Joins Dark Shadows?
Time for Dark Shadows update! Of course, casting one, again! And I’m pretty sure you’re going to love this one.
Kick-Ass star, young and lovely Chloe Moretz is in talks to join the upcoming Tim Burton‘s project, and if negotiations work out, she will play Carolyn, daughter to Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, character that will be played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
Dark Shadows is the adaptation of the 1960’s gothic soap opera, and Burton’s and Depp’s longtime passion project Dark Shadows, that was first announced in 2007. The whole thing revolves around a centuries old vampire searching for fresh blood and his lost love, Josette, and his many adventures involving ghosts, werewolves, time travel and other quite weird stuff.
Let me remind you, right here at the beginning, that Johnny Depp is on board to play Vampire Barnabas Collins, Eva Green will play Angelique Bouchard Collins, a witch trapped in a love/hate relationship with Depp’s character, Jackie Earle Haley will play Willie Loomis, a conman who releases Collins from his sealed coffin only to be attacked and enslaved as the vampire’s manservant, and Bella Heathcote is Victoria Winters, the young governess of the Collins estate.
As we said, Pfeiffer will play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the matriarch of her brood who has not left her mansion in the decade following the disappearance of her husband, while Helena Bonham Carter is Hoffman, a specialist in psychology and rare blood disorders.
