Scarlett Johansson Joins Old St. Louis

Scarlett JohanssonFew days ago we had a little chat about the upcoming David O. Russell‘s project Old St. Louis, so you already know that Vince Vaughn and young Chloe Moretz are already involved in the whole thing.

But today, we’re here to report that lovely Scarlett Johansson is in talks to star as Vaughn’s lover and secretary in the forthcoming movie!

Old St. Louis is a story of a traveling salesman who has been an absentee father, and how his life changes when his daughter becomes part of his life.

Like we previously reported, Vaughn will be playing a divorced businessman, who tries to combine his latest cross-country work trip with an attempt to reconcile with the teenage daughter he rarely sees.

Daughter is young Moretz, and now we should add Johansson as a secretary who is secretly romancing a traveling salesman.

Vince Vaughn in David O. Russell’s Old St. Louis

Director David O. Russell and Vince Vaughn will definitely team up for the upcoming project titled Old St. Louis, the story written by Russell, and produced by Vaughn and his sister Victoria.

We must agree that after a few years of comedies it would be interesting to see Vaughn jump into something that sounds like good family drama.

Old St. Louis is the story of a traveling salesman who has been an absentee father, and how his life changes when his daughter becomes part of his life.

Vaughn would play the salesman and it has been mentioned that Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz could play the daughter.

"Irish" Mickey WardEarlier this month, we wrote that Christian Bale would join Mark Wahlberg in Bryan Singer‘s thriller “Prisoners.”
Now, Christian Bale and director David O. Russell are set to join Mark Wahlberg in “The Fighter.” So, this is the second project that Bale and Wahlberg are planning to star in together.

“The Fighter” tells the true story of Boston fighter “Irish” Micky Ward and how he was helped to the world lightweight championship by half-brother and his trainer Dicky Ecklund.

Ecklund was a journeyman fighter who sent Sugar Ray Leonard to the canvas in 1978. His career was derailed by drug addiction and a prison sentence. Upon his release, he convinced his younger brother, Ward – who had retired from boxing at 26 after losing four straight – to get back in the ring. Under Ecklund’s tutelage, Ward won the WBU Light Welterweight title and engaged in one of the greatest fight trilogies in history with Arturo Gatti.

She heads to Washington to fight for the rights of people with similar bizarre injuries.
