The first clip has just been released for the upcoming 3D horror tale “Shark Night 3D”, which is directed by David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane , Final Destination 2).

The film stars Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Katharine McPhee, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joel David Moore, Donal Logue, Sinqua Walls, Chris Zylka and features a group of college friends whose weekend getaway quickly turns sour after an uninvited school of sharks show up.

We have added a new set of pictures from the upcoming horror film “Shark Night 3D.”

Director David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane , Final Destination 2) led the helming duties based on a script by Will Hayes and Jesse Studenberg.

The film, which is set for a September 2nd 2011 release date, starring Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Katharine McPhee, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joel David Moore, Donal Logue, Sinqua Walls, Chris Zylka.

Relativity Media has just released the first trailer for the upcoming horror “Shark Night 3D“,which is directed by David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane , Final Destination 2).

Arriving by boat at her family’s Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast.

Four actors have joined the cast of David R. Ellis‘s (man responsible for the “Snakes on a Plane”) upcoming 3D horror movie and here they are: Sinqua Walls, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz and Joel David Moore.

This story is written by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes, and revolves around “seven men and women who spend a weekend at a lake house in Louisiana’s Gulf area.

When their vacation quickly becomes a nightmare of hellish shark attacks, unheard of in freshwater lakes, they soon discover that the sharks are part of a sick, greedy plan on the part of several locals.”

Hayden Christensen to Star in Genesis Code

Hayden ChristensenHayden Christensen is on board for the lead role in director David R. Ellis’ upcoming thriller The Genesis Code, based on the novel by the same name written by John Case. The film’s screenplay is written by Kevin Bernhardt. Myriad Pictures, who will co-produce the film, owns all rights worldwide, will be selling the film at the upcoming Marche du Film in Cannes.

The story follows a former national security expert, played by Christensen, who, while investigating the murder of his only sister and her young son, discovers that a religious sect called The Shadow of the Cross may be involved. With the help of his sister’s friend Ana, they follow the clues to a clinic in the mountains of Italy, where a terrifying secret experiment has been conducted – successfully. The results are so threatening to the foundation of the Church that they will do anything to keep it from being revealed.

David R. Ellis Will Direct Shark Night 3D

David R. EllisGood news for all shark-lovers out there. David R. Ellis has signed on to direct a film titled Shark Night 3D. What a mix, huh? See, sharks, and 3D, kind of spooky?

No wonder they already describe this upcoming project as “Jaws for the 3D Generation”. It could be interesting, so check the rest of the report.

Looks like Ellis is a big fan of this kind of adventures, since we all remember his movies Snakes on a Plane and The Final Destination.

So, now we have the new adventure, and Ellis will shoot Shark Night 3D this summer in Louisiana with a $28 million budget.

The whole thing will be produced by Mike Fleiss, Chris Briggs and Lynette Howell, and they are exactly those who hope this will be like a JAWS film but in 3D.

The screenplay is written by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes, and the film’s animatronic sharks will be created by Walt Conti, the guy/shop responsible for the sharks in Deep Blue Sea, as well the supersized snake in Anaconda.

The Final Destination

Checkout the really cool animated poster for “The Final Destination” (Final Destination 4) below.

Warner Brothers Entertainment aimed to bring viewers to complete visual meltdown with the release of the movie “Final Destination 4,” so they partnered with Virtual Images — The 3-D Company, to promote it.

The creative team at Virtual Images, consisting of 3-D artists and 3-D designers, worked with the studio to create visually stunning art that depicts a human skull and shards of glass jumping out of the piece toward the viewer. The 4th installment in the popular Final Destination film series is receiving hype surrounding the self-exacted slogan, “Death Saved the Best for 3D,” and the 3-D movie posters produced to promote the movie fit that bill.

The Final Destination

Today we have a French poster for “The Final Destination” (Final Destination 4).

Synopsis: On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O’Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave… escaping seconds before Nick’s frightening vision becomes a terrible reality.

Thinking they’ve cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one–in increasingly gruesome ways–Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination.
