David Slade to Put Daredevil Back on the Bigscreen for 20th Century Fox
Director David Slade is selected by 20th Century Fox and Chemin Entertainment to helm Daredevil reboot.
Variety reports that the project will not contain material from the 2003 Mark Steven Johnson-directed Daredevil that starred Ben Affleck, nor the spinoff Elektra sequel. The film is being labeled as “a continuation,” so it appears that this will be a correct reboot.
Daredevil is about a character Matt Murdock who was blinded by radioactive substance. He uses his heightened senses to fight crime in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. The character was first created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett.
Fox needed to produce a film in order to keep the Daredevil rights. If Fox failed to do it, Marvel Studios, which is now owned by Disney, will be able to purchase the rights back. Besides, 20th Century Fox is also planning a new installment for Fantastic Four.
David Slade Boards Vampire Horror ‘The Last Voyage Of The Demeter’
David Slade is jumping back into the genre as director for the upcoming film The Last Voyage of the Demeter.
David Slade, who directed vampires in 30 Days of Night and Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is in talks to tackle the blood-sucking genre again with Phoenix Pictures’ long-in-the-works horror movie.
Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace are reportedly already attached to star as supporting characters while the Phoenix Pictures’ producers are still looking for someone to star in the leading role. Bragi Schut wrote the script for the film.
Set during Bram Stoker‘s original “Dracula,” the script centers on the Russian ship Demeter that shipping the vampire from Transylvania. In the original text, the vessel arrives in North Yorkshire, England minus all but one of its crew. Tied to his wheel, the dead captain remains onboard. Captain’s log is detailing the mysterious loss of all his men.

Today, only two days until the world premiere at the LA Film Festival, three new international quad posters and three clips from Eclipse have been released.

Eclipse MTV Movie Awards Preview Clip
At the MTV Movie Awards 2010 last night, Summit Entertainment revealed a new preview clip for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third installment in their blockbuster vampire franchise which will be on theaters and IMAX in the U.S. June 30.
The clip finds Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again in the middle of a dueling Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) who really don’t like each other. Looking to calm things down, the scene ends with Bella leaving with a cocky Jacob to talk things out. It’s arguably one of the better clips released from the David Slade film so far.

New Eclipse Clip, Banner and Image
Summit Entertainment has released a new clip, image and high res outdoor banner for David Slade’s upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Bella Swan is reunited with the love of her life (and vampire), Edward Cullen. Her life is back to the way it was before the Cullens left, except for one major thing.
