Wanderlust

Leave your baggage behind. Hm, that sounds great, but I’m a little bit confused about the first poster for the upcoming Wanderlust movie.

I mean, it would be better if Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston were naked, or something, hope you’ll agree? Anyway, it looks like a classic poster for a comedy, which means – not impressive, but not so bad after all.

According to Variety, Sean Anders and John Morris are in talks to co-direct the looming Adam Sandler’s medium I Hate You Dad.

Sean Anders and John Morris, two of the strongest comedy writers in Hollywood, are exactly in talks with Columbia Pictures to set a comedy that Sandler’s Happy Madison banner is producing. Columbia initially picked up the project in August 2008 but was still in the development stages.

By Fiona | Apr 12, 2010 | Movie News (0) Comment

David WainDavid Wain is reportedly in line to direct Too Cool To Be Forgotten, based on the Top Shelf graphic novel by Alex Robinson.

We all remember this director from titles like The State, Stella, The Ten, Role Models and now, it looks like he’s one step closer to make his first comic book-based film.

So, this upcoming project could be something fresh & clean indeed, although there are some rumors (at Pajiba) that describe this movie as Hot Tub Time Machine Without the Hot Tub.

Yeah, well, the story follows a forty year old man who attempts to break a life long smoking habit through hypnosis. Instead he finds himself transported back into his teenage body.

Or, if you prefer the full synopsis: “Andy Wicks is a forty-something father of two who’s tried everything to quit smoking – from going cold turkey, to the latest patches and nicotine chewing gums, so he figures he’ll give this hypnosis thing a try. What’s the worst that could happen?

Role Models

A red band trailer and poster for the upcoming “Role Models” comedy has been released, featuring the two men trying to mentor two difficult kids.

The actual story revolves around two deviously wild beer reps who, in order to keep their jobs, are forced to do community service and become mentors in the Big Brother program after their freewheeling behavior gets them into trouble. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn’t look half bad.

The film starring Seann William Scott, Paul Rudd, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jane Lynch, Bobb’e J.Thompson and Elizabeth Banks and is both co-written and directed by actor and filmmaker David Wain (The Ten, Wet Hot American Summer). Continue Reading…
