Elizabeth Berkley, Briana Evigan Hook Up with ‘S. Darko’

Elizabeth Berkley and Briana Evigan are the latest additions to the cast “S. Darko” (aka “Samantha Darko“), the sequel to “Donnie Darko“.
Ed Westwick (”Gossip Girl“) and Justin Chatwin (”The Chumscrubber“) also are in the movie, which stars Daveigh Chase (The Ring), reprising her role from the original cult classic.
The story, set seven years after the first film, follows Donnie Darko’s sister, Samantha, who, in dealing with her broken family, flees town with her best friend (Briana Evigan) when they are plagued by bizarre visions.
Berkley is playing a speed freak-turned-Jesus freak whose sentiments about ridding the world of its exponential sin are rivaled only by her infatuation with her dreamy pastor.
Evigan, repped by Gersh and Luber Roklin Entertainment, starred in “Step Up 2 the Streets” and appears on NBC’s summer series “Fear Itself.”
Elizabeth Berkley (”Showgirls” and “Saved by the Bell“), recently wrapped a stint on “CSI: Miami” and completed filming “The Butlers in Love,” directed by David Arquette. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Kritzer Levine Wilkins Entertainment.
Chris Fisher is currently directing the sequel in Utah. Ash R. Shah is producing.

Lindsay Lohan, Teenage Drama Queen Joins Jack Black Comedy ‘Ye Old Times’
This week’s most Googled nude celebrity, Ms Lindsay Lohan, has signed on the dotted line to appear in the Jack Black comedy “Ye Old Times” (funnily enough, that was the name of the outfit place that my wife and I got our wedding attire from back in the day).
E Online says the flick follows two rival Renaissance Faire troupes as they make their way through the competitive circuit.
Among the all-star support cast are Elvis’s one-time squeeze Ann-Margret, “Tripper” David Arquette, Cary Elwes and Orlando Jones (”Evolution”).
Lohan’s last performance was, well, chasing an innocent woman down a Los Angeles street in her car. She won raves for it.
