Jessica Chastain Cast in Denis Villeneuve’s THE DARLING
In an interview with the Calgary Herald the acclaimed American novelist of The Sweet Hereafter and the recent Lost Memory of Skin, Russell Banks has confirmed that his novel The Darling will soon be adapted for the big-screen.
The project was previously set to be a Martin Scorsese’s follow up to The Aviator in 2004 with Cate Blanchett starring, but his plans fell through.
Incendies’ Denis Villeneuve to Direct Vigilante Thriller Prisoners
There is no doubt that the Prisoners film has a long history.
It’s always best to start at the beginning: after the fourth Blacklist insertion in 2009. the film has suddenly get A-list names attached to a project, icluding director Bryan Singer (Valkyrie), and actors Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. But they quickly moved on to David O. Russell’s The Fighter, so Singer did the same.

Incendies – remember that title! 2010 Canadian film written and directed by Denis Villeneuve, adapted from Wajdi Mouawad‘s play, Scorched, and this one definitely deserves our attention.

Cannes 2009: POLYTECHNIQUE Movie Trailer And Poster
“Polytechnique,” will be featured at the 2009 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, as one of three Canadian films. The Canadian true crime drama – shot in black and white – will be shown in Directors’ Fortnight – out of competition.
The film depicts the Montreal Massacre of 1989, where a young man murdered 14 women at Montreal’s Polytechnique school. It was the deadliest school shooting of the 20th century, and remains to this day the deadliest massacre in Canadian history.
