First Photos From DJANGO UNCHAINED Set
Every once in a while we talk about the upcoming Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, but unfortunately we still get (only) these kind of set photos which show us nothing but the spaghetti western environment.
Of course we’re all excited about the movie, but please – we need more images as soon as possible!
Sacha Baron Cohen to Join DJANGO UNCHAINED
How bizzare. Sacha Baron Cohen is in some serious negotiations to join the cast of Django Unchained.
Yeah, that’s right, that’s strange, that’s awesome? Don’t know, I’m still surprised but there you go, the cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming project is getting bigger.
Which is good actually. I mean if Borat is good enough for Scorsese’s Hugo, he’s good enough for Django as well.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED

So, what do you think about this? Joseph Gordon-Levitt is now in talks to join the cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s spaghetti Western Django Unchained. I like this idea.
As far as I’m concerned, Gordon-Levitt should be in every single Hollywood movie. Even in this one.
After all, we already have Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell and Don Johnson on board for the whole thing, so this means only one thing – it’s going to be a very happy Christmas Day next year!
Miami Vice Star Don Johnson Cast in Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED
Don Johnson will be following his father’s footsteps and become a wealthy southern plantation owner. So, Don’s dad, who was a Missourian farmer, would have been proud of his son.
Joking apart, his father Wayne would be anyway proud of him. And Don would follow in the steps of John Travolta and the late David Carradine rather than his father. Vet Johnson is set to play wealthy plantation owner named Spencer Bennett in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, the character who oversees the black slave prostitutes, as the matter of fact.
‘Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star’ Trailer and Poster
Columbia Pictures has released the trailer for Tom Brady ‘s Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star. The comedy starring Nick Swardson, Christina Ricci, Don Johnson, and Stephen Dorff was written by Adam Sandler , Allen Covert and Swardson.
Bucky (Swardson) is a small town grocery bagger, going nowhere in life – until he discovers that his conservative parents were once adult film stars. Armed with the belief that he has found his destiny, Bucky packs up and heads out to LA, hoping to follow in his parents’ footsteps.
Machete Review
“Machete’’ began life as one of the fake trailers in “Grindhouse,’’ the 2007 Rodriguez-Quentin Tarantino collaboration that allowed both directors to pay homage to their splattery ’70s drive-in roots. Part of the gag was seeing Trejo, an ex-con and boxer who since the mid-’80s has been a visual signifier of extreme threat in the corner of over 140 movies, pretend to have a shot at a lead role. The far better gag is that Trejo holds the center of the expanded “Machete’’ beautifully, his death-whisper voice and that unforgettable slab of a face, etched with creases and sin, providing an anchor for the supporting stars to wheel around.
It’s fitting that Machete originated as a trailer, albeit a fake one, attached to Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s ’70s-exploitation-movie homage Grindhouse. Trailers routinely assemble the most exciting parts of a movie into a two-minute punch, and in trailer form, the spectacularly violent adventures of a Mexican vigilante, driven home by subterranean-deep narration, certainly looked like one hell of an awesome movie. But a trailer isn’t a film, and in producing the feature-length version of Machete, Rodriguez and co-director Ethan Maniquis haven’t made the necessary adjustments. They try to make Machete into an extended trailer that’s all best parts, stitched together by a sloppy, needlessly convoluted plot and a lot of bluntly explicit messaging on the immigration issue. It’s often stylish and exciting, but the pile-up of cool kills, hot bodies, and other unprocessed bits of juvenilia doesn’t add up to a good time…read more [A.V.Club]
Four New Machete TV Spots
We have added four TV spots for 20th Century Fox’s Machete, one of most anticipated films of 2010.
Machete is based on the “fake” trailer in Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 “Grindhouse,” featuring Danny Trejo and Jeff Fahey reprising their original roles.
The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) a corrupt Senator.
Red Band Machete Trailer
IGN and 20th Century Fox have released the Comic-Con Red Band trailer for Machete, one of most anticipated films of 2010.
Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) his “holy” brother, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Jessica Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.
New Machete Photo: Lindsay Lohan
FilmTotaal.nl has posted the first photo of Lindsay Lohan in Robert Rodriguez’s new movie Machete. The actress plays a gun-toting nun (April Benz) and a new photo has surfaced that features her in some blatant holy wear.
Machete Photo, Lindsay Lohan as April Benz
Based on Machete, the faux trailer from “Grindhouse” the film is being co-directed by Rodriguez with protege Ethan Maniquis.
The highly skilled Federale Machete is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he’s about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he’s been set up. He barely survives the sniper’s bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren’t you!
