17 New Images From Pixar’s Up
Disney/Pixar has released 17 new images for their upcoming animated “Up” film.
“Up”, from the Disney Pixar studios, tells the story of 78 year-old Carl Fredricksen who sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America by tying thousands of balloons to his home. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a young wilderness explorer, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.
“Up,” directed by Pete Docter, who also directed the animated hit “Monsters, Inc.” and developed the story and characters for “Toy Story,” will be shown at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony on May 13, 2009.
The animated film is scheduled to appear in theaters on May 29th.

Walt Disney Pictures has debuted the second “Upisode” for Pixar’s film “Up” showing Russell trying to apply a Band-Aid to Carl Fredricksen’s scraped knuckle. This clip are content created purely for promotional purposes and are not scenes from the movie itself.

Three New Pixar’s “Up” Movie Posters
The folks over at /Film, ComingSoon and Ain’t it Cool have debuted new character posters from Pixar’s latest animated feature, “Up.”

But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. “Up” takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures.
The film will be presented at WonderCon in San Francisco on Saturday, February 28th from 3:30 – 4:30pm in the Esplanade of the Moscone Center with director Peter Doctor and producer Jonas Rivera in attendance. Also, the first 45 minutes of the movie was shown at BNAT. If you are in San Francisco get in line early because there’s only 250 seats. No cameras, phones, or recording devices will be allowed at the screening, and all must be checked at the door.
