Moonrise Kingdom

We have the first trailer for Wes Anderson‘s upcoming Moonrise Kingdom movie.

Beside the fact that Anderson is in charge for the whole thing and that the movie has quite interesting cast on board, I still have no idea what’s so special about this project.

THE BOURNE LEGACY Teaser Poster

By Allan Ford | Jan 9, 2012 | Movie Posters (0) Comment

Universal Pictures has revealed the first teaser poster for The Bourne Legacy, a “Jason Bourne” spin-off that won’t feature Jason Bourne or Matt Damon. Director Tony Gilroy explained Mania.com:

‘This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one’s replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero (Jeremy Renner), a whole new chapter…this is a stand-alone project. The easiest way to think of it is an expansion or a reveal… Jason Bourne will not be in this film, but he’s very much alive. What happened in the first three films is the trigger for what happens. I’m building a legend and an environment and a wider conspiracy… the world we’re making enhances and advances and invites Jason Bourne’s return.”

Harvey Keitel Moonrise Kingdom set photo

Time to share the official synopsis part for the upcoming Wes Anderson directed project Moonrise Kingdom.

Definitely something worth our attention, simply because we have some great cast on board. I will admit I’m not so impressed with the story, but – what the hell, I will give Anderson a try!

You should do the same, and check the rest of this report.

Figments on Film: Five Great Characters Who Are Completely Imaginary

By Allan Ford | Sep 23, 2011 | Movie News (0) Comment

Figments on Film

I’ve found that non-existence is in no way a hindrance to creating a compelling characters. In fact, as I hope this list proves, sometimes imaginary characters outshine those who are supposedly “real”. This list will contain spoilers – so there is your obligatory warning.

5) Wilson the Volleyball – Castaway – If I was trapped alone on a island for a few years I would probably make up my own friend too. Of course I’d also most likely die a horrible, lonely death. Tom Hanks isn’t going out that way – he’s getting back home and taking his bloody-faced volleyball with him. I have to say, the scene where Wilson floats away is very emotional – Hanks pulls it off quite well, considering it is a volleyball – heck, I feel worse for Hanks than I do for pretty much any couple in a mindless romcom. In my ending, Wilson washes ashore, is recycled into a brand-spanking-new volleyball and goes on to be the volleyball that the U.S. uses to win Olympic gold – who cares what happens to Hanks – Wilson needs a happy ending too.

Edward Norton as Villain in The Bourne Legacy

By Fiona | Jul 13, 2011 | Movie News (0) Comment

Edward NortonThe Bourne Legacy movie finally has it’s own villain, Edward Norton!

Well, this project is definitely something that we’re (totally) interested in, and I’m quite sure you share our enthusiasm.

What a great move for Universal! I mean, just imagine Norton opposite to previously announced Jeremy Renner!

But, according to the latest reports, the actor is currently in negotiations to join the upcoming Tony Gilroy‘s project that we already wrote about.

Of course, we still have no new details about the plot, except the previous rumors that the movie will follow the further clandestine exploits of Treadstone, and that Renner will play an operative from a covert government program.

However it isn’t the Treadstone’s brainwashing program that birthed Jason Bourne and it’s apparently a group that is “even more dangerous than Treadstone.”

Mark Ruffalo

Not much is known about this one, but at least we know that Mark Ruffalo is considering to join the upcoming movie titled Thanks For Sharing.

This project will mark The Kids are All Right scribe Stuart Blumberg‘s directorial debut, so we’re definitely expecting to hear more about this as soon as possible…

For now, let’s just say that the story focuses on three sex-addicts who attend a recovery clinic together.

The script was written by Stuart Blumberg, who will also direct the film.

Though Blumberg and Ruffalo have worked together before, Thanks for Sharing will be the first time the scribe will also direct.
