And that’s pretty much all because I’m simply not so interested in her adventures…anymore.

Warner Bros drops the the official trailer and poster for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock star as parents to a precocious 9-year-old boy named Oskar Schell (newcomer Thomas Horn), who has his world shattered when his father dies at the World Trade Center on 9/11. In the aftermath, Oskar finds a key that his father left behind and goes on a journey to search for the lock it calls home.

Big screen adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer‘s 2005 novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is coming!

We already know that The Reader director Stephen Daldry is in charge for the project but today we’re here to report that Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks are in talks to star in it!

Now, how does it sound? Like another Oscar nomination is coming or…?

The script has been penned by Eric Roth (yes, from Forrest Gump), and the story follows: “Oskar Schell, an inventor, Francophile, tambourine player, Shakespearean actor, jeweler, pacifist, correspondent with Stephen Hawking and Ringo Starr. He is nine years old. And he is on an urgent, secret search through the five boroughs of New York.

His mission is to find the lock that fits a mysterious key belonging to his father, who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11. An inspired innocent, Oskar is alternately endearing, exasperating, and hilarious as he careens from Central Park to Coney Island to Harlem on his search. Along the way he is always dreaming up inventions to keep those he loves safe from harm.

You remember Liev Schreiber had a solid directorial debut with an adaptation of Foer’s Everything is Illuminated, and now we’ll have a chance to see how Daldry will manage in next adaptation of Foer’s novel, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, to the screen.

The film will be based on the 2005 book which tells the story of 9-year-old Oskar Schell. The boy is looking all over New York for the lock that matches a key left behind by his father who died in the September 11 attacks.

A new TV spot for the upcoming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, has been released. Poster is already showing up in some theaters and Defamer snapped this photo at a recent multiplex screening and features a shot of Pitt’s face with all the text shown backwards to symbolize the film’s plot.
