His agent Willi Weber last week revealed that the former F1 star had been approached to appear in the big screen version of his life story.

However, Schumacher said he does not have space in his schedule to commit to a movie, telling autosport:

“We have had some requests in this direction to film my career, but I’m probably too busy and too active to find time for this. So right now it’s not something I wish to do.”

The 39-year-old retired after the 2006 season and is currently acting as an advisor and test driver for Ferrari.

It was recently reported that Bruce Willis is in line to play commentator Murray Walker in the film.

Murray WalkerBruce Willis is allegedly in line to play ‘Formula One‘ commentator Murray Walker in the upcoming biopic of Michael Schumacher.

Walker commentated on F1 for more than 50 years and became renowned for making ridiculous on-air comments that were dubbed “Walkerisms”.

He once famously remarked: “With half the race gone, there is half the race still to go” orĀ  ”He is exactly 10 seconds ahead, or more approximately, 9.86 seconds”, ” The lead car is absolutely unique, except for the one behind it, which is identical. ”

Willis has reportedly been earmarked for the Walker role by producers of The Michael Schumacher Story.

Schumacher’s agent Willi Weber is quoted as saying: “Bruce Willis would certainly do Murray justice.”

Walker, 84, admitted he was “shell-shocked” on hearing that Willis might play him on film.

“I had to make sure when looking at the calendar that it was April 25 not April 1,” he said. “I always regarded Bruce Willis as a mirror image of myself, don’t you know… a much younger version though.”
