George Lucas’ caution for fans of Indy
Legendary director George Lucas has spoken about the new Indiana Jones movie and revealed that:
“No matter what you do, it’s not going to live up to expectations!”
Lucas has further words of caution for fans:
“If you think that it’s going to be better than the other Indiana Jones films… it’s not, it’s just as great! I think this one’s a little funnier and more interesting than the others.”
‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ will be released on Thursday, May 22nd and stars returning hero Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett and Ray Winstone.
Cannes Film Festival - Indiana Jones 4 on May 18
Much anticipated and long-awaited fourth installment of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg’s
‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull‘, will debut at the Cannes Film Festival then open in theatres world-wide a few days later.
‘The Da Vinci Code‘ used the same tactic, avoiding Internet spoilers and lots of scolding critics.
The Cannes splash on May 18 will be followed by a massive press conference with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford and new co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Cate Blanchett.
That will be followed by the opening, May 22, which will likely be followed by some sort of box office records.
‘Da Vinci Code’ scooped up $758-million globally even as critics slammed the allegedly lifeless version of the best selling book.
Last year’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End‘ reached $153-million.
Can ‘Indiana Jones 4′ do either of the ‘Da Vinci Code’ or ‘Pirates’ numbers? We’ll see.

‘Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skul’ First Reviews!
Some Of The Scenes In ‘Indiana Jones 4′ Will Be Reshot
It was reported that some changes may be done to the upcoming George Lucas’ action film ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.’ Some of the scenes in ‘Indiana Jones 4′ probably will be reshot.

The film’s director Steven Spielberg is planning to reshoot some of the scenes in Pasadena, California. They are going to shoot something on Bradford Street.
Earlier today, it was reported that the officials at the Cannes Film Festival and the representative to Spielberg have been talking about premiering ‘Indiana Jones 4′ at the festival held on May 14 to 25 in France.
Spielber, Lucas and Harrison Ford about ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’
Spielberg promises no tricky editing for the new one, saying, “I go for geography. I want the audience to know not only which side the good guy’s on and the bad guy’s on, but which side of the screen they’re in, and I want the audience to be able to edit as quickly as they want in a shot that I am loath to cut away from. And that’s been my style with all four of these Indiana Jones pictures. Quick-cutting is very effective in some movies, but you sacrifice geography when you go for quick-cutting. Which is fine, because audiences get a huge adrenaline rush from a cut every second.
Harrison Ford: “He’s a stubborn sucker,” the actor says, “and he had an idea that he kept pushing into script form, and then they’d run it by me, and I’d usually rebel, and, finally, you know, one script came along that really struck me as being smart, not working too hard to give reference to the other films, but that carried on the stories we had told so far in a logical way. The character was allowed to age, and we found ourselves in a different period of time, and what I read was a great script, so I said, ‘Let’s go, let’s make this one.”
