Director George Tillman Jr. to Helm Miles Davis Biopic
Miles Davies, the unwitting father figure of cool jazz as well as of jazz fusion, who endlessly reinvented himself and evolved as a musician and a composer, for almost fifty years, will finally make it way to the big screen.
Helmer George Tillman (Notorious, Soul Food) has been hired to develop and direct a feature film version of jazz legend Miles Davis. Tentatively titled Miles the movie will be loosely based on the novel ‘Dark Magus: The Jekyll and Hyde Life of Miles Davis’ written by his elder son, Gregory Davis – the late trumpeter’s son will consult on the film, too. Isaac Fergusson penned the original draft of the screenplay.

CBS Films has issued a new trailer for Faster, the George Tillman-directed action/revenge film.
Synopsis: After 10 years in prison, Driver (Dwayne Johnson) has a singular focus – to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his imprisonment. Now a free man with a deadly to-do list in hand, he’s finally on his mission…but with two men on his trail – a veteran cop (Billy Bob Thornton) just days from retirement, and a young egocentric hitman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) with a flair for the art of killing and a newfound worthy opponent. The hunter is also the hunted. It’s a do or die race to the list’s finish as the mystery surrounding his brother’s murder deepens, and new details emerge along the way hinting that Driver’s list may be incomplete.
