X-Files Movie 2 Gets The Title!
Twentieth Century Fox and Chris Carter have officially announced the title of the second X-Files movie: ‘The X-Files: I Want To Believe‘.
Chris Carter told: “It’s a natural title. It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. `I Want to Believe.’ It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”
The sequel will hit theaters later this year, and a new trailer will be attached to Iron Man.
Filming of The X-Files sequel wraps
The cast and crew of the still-untitled X-Files feature film sequel wrapped up work in Vancouver with a news conference Wednesday, a brief lifting of a curtain of secrecy that the production has maintained through three months of filming.
“It’s been a two-way street,” says writer-director Chris Carter. “To tell you the truth, I would like to make the movie secretly and put it out there on July 25, have everybody get a gift they could open.”
“We’re not doing an exercise in nostalgia to appeal to the fans of the show,” said co-writer and producer Frank Spotnitz,
Stars want ‘X-Files’ love scene dropped
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have asked the producers of the upcoming X-Files movie to remove a love scene between their characters.
The duo reportedly want bosses to drop a romantic sub-plot from the film, in which they reprise the roles of FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from the hit TV show.
A source told the Daily Express: “There was one draft of the script where Mulder and Scully have a bedroom scene but it looks like that has been put on hold.
“David and Gillian are concerned about having the characters involved in some kind of love story, as they feel that was the beginning of the end of the original show.”
The source added that negotiations over the scene were “on-going”.
