Guillermo Del Toro Signs to Direct Emma Watson in BEAUTY (and the Beast)
Seems that Hollywood starts to shape up its calendar in a way similar to the Chinese lunar calendar — the current year’s animal symbol of the Chinese calendar is most popular subject, replaced with the most popular fairytale in Hollywood’s case.
Therefore, this year is going to be the year of Snow White tales — Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror hitting screens, followed by Order of Seven. If it’s true, next year is going to be the year of new takes on Beauty and the Beast.

DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK Red Band Trailer
FilmDistrict has released a red band trailer for “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” the remake of the creepy 1973 telepic made at a time when ABC was cranking out the scares with such films as Bad Ronald and Trilogy of Terror. Jessica Chastain To Star In Guillermo Del Toro-Produced Horror Mama
I like Jessica Chastain. And I have nothing against Guillermo Del Toro. So, basically, I think that with those names on board for an adaptation of Andres Muschiett‘s 2-minute and 56-second short film Mama, nothing could go wrong.
Wait, what, Chastain, Del Toro, Mama? Confused? See, that’s exactly why you should read the rest of this report.
So, it goes like this. We’ve just learned that Del Toro is producing a feature-length adaptation of Spanish filmmaker Andres Muschiett’s 2-minute and 56-second short film titled Mama, and guess what, it’s not going to be comedy!
Emma Watson In Beauty And The Beast Produced by Guillermo Del Toro
Ok, we all like fairy-tales, I guess. And although I must admit that I’m a little bit confused with all this fairy-tale-Hollywood, I also think this project could be something quite interesting, indeed.
First of all, we have Guillermo Del Toro on board as the producer, and second, we also learned that lovely Emma Watson is set to star in an upcoming fresh adaptation of Beauty and the Beast!

The eerie surroundings are the perfect dwelling for the scary little ghoulies living in the secret basement, unbeknown to anyone except Sally. It is now up to the young ‘un to convince her parents that she is not playing silly beggars before the evil species pull them all into the depths below.
