H2: Halloween 2 Teaser Trailer

Dimension Films has unveiled the first full trailer for Rob Zombie’s “H2: Halloween 2,” the continuation of his rebooted horror series from 2007.

Rob Zombie’s H2 will pick up at the exact moment the first movie stopped and follow the aftermath of Michael Myers murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode.
“H2: Halloween 2″ is again both written and directed by musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie. This sequel is the continuation of a “reboot” of John Carpenter’s original Halloween series that lasted for eight films until “Halloween: Resurrection” in 2002.

“H2: Halloween 2″ hits theaters on August 28, 2009.

Halloween Sequel “H2″ Gets a Director and Poster

Dimension Films has announced that the company will make “H2“, the sequel to Rob Zombie’s 2007 reinvention of the horror classic Halloween.

Zombie will write and direct “H2″ with production set to begin in March with the new film picking up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers‘ murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

Rob Zombie said:

“I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again.” Now, we’ll be hauling ass, and that’s the problem making a movie called ‘Halloween’: If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I’d be fine.”

Bob Weinstein (The Weinstein Company) stated:

“Following the success of 2007’s ‘Halloween,’ we are thrilled to be back in business with Rob Zombie, bringing a sequel to theatres. The fans have made it clear – and we agree – that they feel the franchise is in great hands with Rob Zombie.”

Malek Akkad of Trancas International Films, who also produced 2007’s Halloween with Dimension, will produce the sequel, along with Andy Gould of Spectacle Entertainment Group, Zombie’s long time manager and producing partner. Continue Reading…
