Kodi Smit-McPhee Joins Ari Folman’s The Congress

Let Me In star Kodi Smit-McPhee is quite busy little guy these days.

Just in case you’re wondering why, here’s the big casting news: McPhee will star in an upcoming Ari Folman‘s futuristic sci-fi film titled The Congress.

He will join the cast that already includes Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Harvey Keitel and Paul Giamatti.

In an interview McPhee said: “I’m also doing a film called The Congress which is just in the rehearsal process and I think next week we’ll be shooting. I don’t really know how to explain it, I think it’s sci-fi and futuristic.”

The Congress is an adaptation of the novel The Futurological Congress by Stanislaw Lem, who also wrote Solaris, which has been twice adapted to film.

First we met the parents in 2000. Next we met the Fockers in 2004. Now, it’s time to meet the offspring of Greg and Pam with Little Fockers.
Both the Burns and Fockers return for the threequel, along with others from the families’ complicated pasts including Pam’s ex-fiancé, Kevin (Owen Wilson). The film is much of the same material we’ve seen before. Even after years of marriage and two 5-year-old twins, Greg (Ben Stiller) is still looking for Jack’s (Robert De Niro) approval. Harvey KeitelHarvey Keitel (The Piano, Bad Lieutenant, Pulp Fiction) has signed up to appear in “Little Fockers,” the latest movie in the “Meet The Parents” comedy series.
