A new poster for the strange apocalypse film Vanishing On 7th Street is out.

From director Brad Anderson (Session 9, Transsiberian, The Machinist) comes Vanishing on 7th Street, a terrifying, apocalyptic thriller that taps into one of humankind’s most primal anxieties: fear of the dark. An unexplained blackout plunges the city of Detroit into total darkness, and by the time the sun rises, only a few people remain—surrounded by heaps of empty clothing, abandoned cars and lengthening shadows.

Vanishing on 7th Street

Magnet has released the second trailer for Vanishing on 7th Street, which is a variant on the first trailer, but the second half piles on the “shadow people” and terror.

An unexplained blackout plunges the city of Detroit into total darkness, and by the time the sun rises, only a few people remain — surrounded by heaps of empty clothing, abandoned cars and lengthening shadows. A small handful of strangers that have survived the night each find their way to a rundown bar, whose gasoline-powered generator and stockpile of food and drink make it the last refuge in a deserted city. With daylight beginning to disappear completely and whispering shadows surrounding the survivors, they soon discover that the enemy is the darkness itself, and only the few remaining light sources can keep them safe. As time begins to run out for them, darkness closes in and they must face the ultimate terror.

Jumper 2 Starring Hayden Christensen Is in the Works

Just in case you were wondering if Doug Liman‘s 2008 film Jumper will ever get the sequel, we’re here today to answer that question. And, the answer is – yes.

A sequel is being actively discussed, or, at least, that’s what the Jumper star Hayden Christensen, explained in a recent interview with MTV.

“We’re talking about it right now actually. Where could the story go? Hopefully somewhere a little darker.

I think there’s a lot you can do with it. It was sort of set up in a way it’s gonna be mother hunting son and possibly even maybe sister hunting brother. We’re talking about it, trying to figure it out.”

In Vanishing on 7th Street, a massive power blackout causes the population to inexplicably vanish and a small handful of survivors band together inside a desolate tavern struggling to survive as the darkness hones in on them.

Hayden Christensen to Star in Genesis Code

Hayden ChristensenHayden Christensen is on board for the lead role in director David R. Ellis’ upcoming thriller The Genesis Code, based on the novel by the same name written by John Case. The film’s screenplay is written by Kevin Bernhardt. Myriad Pictures, who will co-produce the film, owns all rights worldwide, will be selling the film at the upcoming Marche du Film in Cannes.

The story follows a former national security expert, played by Christensen, who, while investigating the murder of his only sister and her young son, discovers that a religious sect called The Shadow of the Cross may be involved. With the help of his sister’s friend Ana, they follow the clues to a clinic in the mountains of Italy, where a terrifying secret experiment has been conducted – successfully. The results are so threatening to the foundation of the Church that they will do anything to keep it from being revealed.

Screen Gems has released new international trailer for crime thriller Takers.

The plot finds a bunch of notorious criminals who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. However, when they attempt to pull off “one last job” with more money at stake than ever before, the crew may find their plans interrupted by a hardened detective (Dillon) who is hell-bent on solving the case.

The film, directed by John Luessenhop (Lockdown), stars Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Steve Harris, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Zoe Saldana, Johnathon Schaech and Gideon Emery.

“New York, I Love You” Promo Trailer

Take a look at the promo trailer for “New York, I Love You” from the producer of “Paris, je t’aime” that opened the 2006 ‘Un Certain Regard’ section of the Cannes Film Festival.

“New York, I Love You” is a collection of 12 short films that will be a cinematic love letter to the Big Apple.

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are making their directorial debuts and helming their own segments. Portman also plays a Jewish bride.

Shia LeBeouf with Julie Christie and John Hurt is in a segment scripted by the late Anthony Minghella, which he was also set to direct until his death. He is replaced by Shekhar Kapur.
