Trouble with ‘The Incredible Hulk’? Star Edward Norton finally speaks out…
2003’s The Hulk was widely considered a failure after limping to $132 million at the box office. This summer marks a do-over for the franchise and boasts Edward Norton as its star and screenwriter – but reports of a blow up between Norton and Marvel Studios over the final cut have threatened bad publicity for the project, and Norton hasn’t been talking.

That changed today; attached to an article about the situation on Entertainment Weekly’s website is a brief statement by Norton addressing the issue:
“Like so many people I’ve loved the story of The Hulk since I was a kid, so it was thrilling when Marvel asked me to write and help produce an altogether new screen incarnation, as well as play Bruce Banner. I grew up reading Marvel Comics and always loved the mythic dimension and contemporary themes in the stories, and I’m proud of the script I wrote. In every phase of production, including the editing, working with Louis Leterrier has been wonderful…I’ve never had a better partner, and the collaboration with all the rest of the creative team has been terrific. Every good movie gets forged through collaboration, and different ideas among people who are all committed and respect the validity of each other’s opinions is the heart of filmmaking. Regrettably, our healthy process, which is and should be a private matter, was misrepresented publicly as a ‘dispute,’ seized on by people looking for a good story, and has been distorted to such a degree that it risks distracting from the film itself, which Marvel, Universal and I refuse to let happen. It has always been my firm conviction that films should speak for themselves and that knowing too much about how they are made diminishes the magic of watching them. All of us believe The Incredible Hulk will excite old fans and create new ones and be a huge hit…our focus has always been to deliver the Hulk that people have been waiting for and keep the worldwide love affair with the big green guy going strong.”

Trailer For ‘The Incredible Hulk’ Coming Early March
Marvel Entertainment announced its fourth quarter and full year operating results this morning, and with it came the news from Vice Chairman/Director Peter Cuneo that the first trailer for “The Incredible Hulk” will debut early March.
Since the new movie is distributed by Universal, there is a good chance that we will be seeing the trailer in front of “Doomsday” on March 14th. But if the studio is looking to begin their marketing sooner, then it will be shown in front of Warner Bros’ “10,000 BC” on March 7th.
Stay tuned.
Lindsay Lohan From Superheroes To “Alice In Wonderland”?
In early December, strange photographs of a gorgeous Lindsay Lohan posing in Hollywood alongside some legendary superheroes cropped up in paparazzi pictures. Back then, it was assumed that she was doing a commercial.
Now, it’s been revealed that those photos were part of a shoot for a March Harper’s Bazaar cover story. And though she posed alongside Batman’s buddy, Robin, Spiderman, and the Hulk in the pics, it hasn’t stopped Lindsay from dreaming about playing a fellow legendary character on screen – Alice from “Alice in Wonderland.”
In the new cover story, Lohan said she is desperate to take on the role of Alice in the project being directed by Tim Burton. She’s hoping to get a meeting with him soon in her attempt to secure the role.
“I hope they don’t want an unknown,” she told the magazine.
One place Lindsay herself hopes to be somewhat unknown, is in a relationship. She revealed that she’d quite like to have a romance away from the prying eye of the paparazzi lens.
‘Iron Man’ and ‘Hulk’ team-up!
According to Aint it Cool News, Robert Downey Jnr will be making an appearance in “The Incredible Hulk”. It’s, of course, all part of a plan to tie the new “Hulk” and “Iron Man” movies together.
Downey Jr’s Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) will reportedly feature in a scene opposite “Hulk” villain ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (William Hurt).
A few days back, “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau mentioned that he’d love a shot at directing an “Avengers” movie – Marvel’s answer to “Justice League” where all the superheroes, like Hulk, Captain America and Iron-Man, team up – and by all indications, Marvel’s thinking the same way too. Aside from Iron Man making an appearance in “Hulk”, Nick Fury (Samuel L.Jackson) turns up in “Iron Man”!
Slowly, but surely, these franchises are being linked…. For a reason.
