D.J. Caruso to Direct Preacher
Director D.J. Caruso confirmed on Twitter that he will direct the Preacher version at Columbia Pictures. He literally said:
My deal just closed on Preacher. Going back to the dark side and pretty f*cking pumped!
Despite his latest I Am Number Four did decent but not rich box office and critic reception on the flick, the results combined with the CinemaScore survey of B+ from moviegoers seem to have boosted director D.J. Caruso (which film credits include Eagle Eye and Disturbia) into his next project.

DreamWorks Pictures has provided new still images and six preview clips from I Am Number Four.
From director D.J. Caruso‘s I Am Number Four, starring Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand (Martin Keamy from the TV show “Lost”) and Callan McAuliffe. The anticipated film hits conventional and IMAX theaters on February 18.
I Am Number Four is adapted from the book of the same name by Pittacus Lore (the pseudonym of writers James Frey and Jobie Hughes), the first in a planned six-part series of young adult books. Screenplay adaptation by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Marti Noxon, and produced by Michael Bay.

A new poster for D.J. Caruso‘s upcoming sci-fi action-thriller I Am Number Four has been released.
The movie centers on nine aliens who escaped the destruction of their planet and landed on Earth, but are now on the run from those who destroyed their home world.

DreamWorks Confirms Aussie Teen Callan McAuliffe for – I Am Number 4
Callan McAuliffe (15) has been cast in a lead role in the DreamWorks feature - I Am Number 4. The Steven Spielberg/Michael Bay Produced feature with DJ Caruso Directing. McAuliffe plays ‘Sam’ the best friend of Number 4 played by Alex Pettyfer. Filming in Pittsburgh from next week through until August. McAuliffe then returns to Los Angeles for the premiere of his USA debut role, as the romantic lead in Rob Reiner’s FLIPPED.
McAuliffe has enjoyed an enormous 12 months since being picked by WME and Affirmative Management for representation in the USA and RGM in Australia.
Cast by Rob Reiner last May after his first audition in the USA, McAuliffe will make his USA debut in Flipped- as “Bryce”, Reiner’s romantic lead. (August 2010 release).
