Posted by Allan Ford 17 April, 2008 (0) Comment

The wait, will soon be over. In just over a month, the dirt digging, fist throwing adventurer that’s been gone for almost 20 years will finally return to take us on another one of his quests to find some important artefact that could mean certain death for anyone else. But in this case, we’re alright, it is Indy after all.‘Indiana Jones 4′ photo

Whilst we sit staring at the calendar like a chocolate filled child at Christmas, USA Today have attempted to calm our impatience (and everyone else’s) with another brand spanking new image for the film as well as retell the adventure they had whilst on a trek with Harrison Ford, himself, who apparently, still wouldn’t mind saying yes to a fifth adventure…

Shia LaBeouf In Pool Of Blood…’New York, I Love You’

Posted by Allan Ford 11 April, 2008 (1) Comment

Shia LaBeouf - New York, I Love You

Shia LaBeouf lies motionless in a pool of blood – but don’t worry, he’s just filming his latest movie.

The Transformers star was snapped on the set of new flick New York, I Love You.

The film focuses on various love stories – all set in the Big Apple – and sees 12 filmmakers direct a short segment each.

Although the central theme studies the universal idea of love, it doesn’t look like Shia’s story has a happy ending.

Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman will lend their talents to the other side of the camera – and switch acting for directing.

And if you can’t wait to see Shia in action, catch him in the fourth Indy installment Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull from May 22.

Indiana Jones Site Updates and New Poster… No3 ?!?

Posted by Allan Ford 11 April, 2008 (0) Comment

Click on image to see poster !

There were a few updates at IndianaJones.com this week, with the addition of an “Adventures” page where you can explore all four films. Right now, however, the only clickable installment is Raiders.

There’s also the “Be An Indy Girl” contest, which invites all female fans to submit a video of themselves for a chance to win a trip to NYC to appear on MTV’s TRL with Mr. LaBeouf himself.

Everyone on MySpace and Facebook can befriend the film for a chance to see it early or win an Indy-inspired adventure for two.

Amazon.com has the cover of the soundtrack pictured, along with the track listings. Although I haven’t been entirely spoiler-free on KOTCS, I’m personally not going near the page. “Episode I – Track 15: Qui-Gon’s Noble End” anyone? Exactly. Stay Away!

Finally, Collider.com posted what appears to be a third poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. If it’s authentic, it’s interesting to me that they would release something like this after the multi-character design. This solo Indy layout lends itself more to what should have been the first or second teaser. Perhaps it’s an unused design or an international poster? If it’s a fake, well done to the Photoshop wiz that whipped this up! Nice work.

Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford Grew Close on ‘Indiana Jones 4′

Posted by Allan Ford 3 April, 2008 (0) Comment

Steven Spielberg has revealed that his friendship with Harrison Ford was the best part of filming Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.Steven Spielberg and Harrison FordThe pair collaborated on the first three instalments of the franchise but did not grow close until the latest adventure.

Spielberg said they had struck up a friendship on the set of the fourth movie, 17 years after filming Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade.

The director told Empire: “We’ve gone off and made other movies which means our paths have not crossed all that often. I’m not the most social guy in the world and neither is Harrison, so we didn’t spend much time together, but we actually became great buddies on this movie.

“More even than on the first three. It’s the best thing that came out of this experience for me.”

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull opens on May 22.

New TV Spot For ‘Indiana Jones 4′

Posted by Allan Ford 30 March, 2008 (0) Comment

A new TV spot is now online for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and it’s moderately superior to last month’s clunky teaser trailer.

The “genius” line between Harrison Ford and a stiff-haired Shia LaBeouf has the kind of smart ass pop that the classic adventure franchise warrants. Also, notice that the scene most snarked at by fanboys in the original trailer, where Indiana Jones fell ass-first into the windshield of a moving vehicle and awkwardly punched out a goon, has been replaced, wisely, by a Steven Spielberg credit. Otherwise, nothing much new here.

Lucas Plays Down ‘Indiana Jones’ Hopes

Posted by Allan Ford 26 March, 2008 (0) Comment

George LucasGeorge Lucas has said that he expects people to be disappointed by the new Indiana Jones movie. The director said that fans’ hopes the film might be a “Second Coming” are impossible to completely satisfy.

He told USA Today:

When you do a movie like this, a sequel that’s very, very anticipated, people anticipate ultimately that it’s going to be the Second Coming.

And it’s not. It’s just a movie. Just like the other movies. You probably have fond memories of the other movies. But if you went back and looked at them, they might not hold up the same way your memory holds up.

Lucas admitted his experience of returning to the Star Wars franchise means he is prepared for people to be underwhelmed by the project.

He said: “When people approach the new [Indiana Jones], much like they did with Phantom Menace, they have a tendency to be a little harder on it.

“You’re not going to get a lot of accolades doing a movie like this. All you can do is lose.”

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is released on May 22.

George Lucas on ‘Star Wars’, Indiana Jones

Posted by Allan Ford 18 March, 2008 (0) Comment

GEORGE LUCAS AT SHOWEST The Clone Wars movie ''was almost an afterthought — we looked at some episodes on the big screen and said, 'This is so beautiful, why don't we just go and use the crew and make a feature?' So we did''At last week’s ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, George Lucas took the stage to introduce the movie industry to his latest Star Wars creation, the animated summer flick Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The feature film (which opens Aug. 15) builds upon the Clone Wars shows that have aired on the Cartoon Network; the footage Lucas presented included glimpses of familiar characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, C-3PO, and R2-D2, as well as more talk of Jabba the Hutt. All the while, naturally, Lucas was flanked by a platoon of stormtroopers – ”I never go anywhere without my army,” he quipped. But does the Jedi master expect to ever retire his Star Wars soldiers? What’s going on with that live-action TV series he announced, anyway? How excited is he for the debut of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? What’s the status of his longtime promise to direct artier films? And which movie prompted him to say, ”I wish I had made it – I don’t think I’m talented enough to do that”?…
