Inkheart Poster and Photos
Earlier today, you watched here a new trailer and now we have poster and three new pics from Warner Bros’ fantasy movie “Inkheart” starring Brendan Fraser, Helen Mirren, Paul Bettany and Jim Broadbent.
Based on the book by Cornelia Funke, “Inkheart” is a timeless adventure tale of imagination that centers on Meggie, a young girl whose father has a secret ability to bring characters from books to life when he reads them aloud. But when a power-hungry villain from a rare children’s fable kidnaps Meggie’s father to bring others out of the boundaries of fiction, she and a disparate group of friends both real and magic embark on the kind of adventure she has only read about in books to save him and set things right.
David Lindsay-Abaire penned the bigscreen adaptation of German author Cornelia Funke’s fantasy novel, the first of a trilogy. “Inkspell” was published last fall, and “Inkdawn” will be out next year.
Ink Heart Official Trailer
The official trailer for the upcoming “Ink Heart” directed by Iain Softley starring Brendan Fraser, Helen Mirren, Paul Bettany and Jim Broadbent, has been released.

“Inkheart” revolves around a girl whose father has the power to bring characters from books to life by reading aloud. When a villainous ruler and his band of rogues from a children’s fable kidnap the man, his daughter and her friends, both real and imaginary, must rescue him.
“Ink Heart” is scheduled to hit theaters on January 9th, 2009.
‘Inkheart’ Pushed Back To 2009
Brendan Fraser will be a little less busy in 2008, now that Inkheart has been delayed from its planned release this fall to an early 2009 spot. But lest you think New Line delayed the release to give its poor star a release, check this out: the studio openly admitted the delay was due to the impact of the writer’s strike on television.
“Huh?” you ask? Well, remember that New Line got seriously burned with their most recent fantasy epic, The Golden Compass. While there are plenty of reasons why it tanked, the most likely being that it just wasn’t very good, you could argue that the lack of new TV programming meant fewer people were seeing their TV ads, which meant fewer people wanted to see it. Now flash-forward to a year from now, with the strike still going on. Will anyone be watching TV anymore? Given how easy it is to reach out to kids–Inkheart’s target audience—through television, you can see why they’d want to catch as many eyeballs as they can on the small screen.
