First Burke and Hare Set Photos
A brand new batch of photos from black comedy Burke and Hare has just been released.
A comedic take on the true story of the 1828 Edinburgh body-snatchers William Burke and William Hare. These two Irish entrepreneurs discover that a dead body can fetch a hefty price when the demands of the leading medical professors Dr. Knox and Dr. Monroe reach beyond that of the local supply.
Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis play William Burke and William Hare respectively, also stars Isla Fisher, Tim Curry, Tom Wilkinson, John Cleese, and Stephen Merchant.
Isla Fisher In Two New Comedy
Isla Fisher (“The Confessions of a Shopaholic”) has signed up to star in two new romantic comedies for Universal.
Fisher will play the lead in “Life Coach” written by Liz Cackowski and Maggie Carey.
The movie follows the story of “a young woman who consults a life coach who turns out to be messed up”.
Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy will co-produce the film alongside Fisher.
Isla Fisher is also attached to star in an movie is based on French script called “One Day My Princes Will Come.” The studio has hired Audrey Wells (”Under the Tuscan Sun”) to write the script.
The project is currently untitled and no plot details have yet been revealed.
Isla Fisher Joins Johnny Depp In Rango
Isla Fisher has joined of Gore Verbinski’s toon adventure “Rango” as the female voice lead.
Fisher (“Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “Definitely, Maybe“) will play alongside Johnny Depp and Abigail Breslin (”Little Miss Sunshine“) in animated tale “Rango” for Paramount Pictures.
Alfred Molina, Ray Winstone, Harry Dean Stanton and Ned Beatty round out the voice cast.
Film centers on a household pet (Johnny Depp) who goes on an adventure to discover his true self.
The script is written by John Logan from the story by Gore Verbinksi who will also direct the movie.
Confessions of a Shopaholic Trailer and Poster
A new trailer and poster for the Isla Fisher comedy “Confessions of a Shopaholic“, based on a Sophie Kinsella’s best-selling series of novels, has been released.
The film stars Isla as Rebecca Bloomwood, a girl who loves shopping but winds up in credit card debt and has to take a job writing for a fashion magazine to pay for it all. Zaniness, it is assumed, ensues as she interacts with high-society and finds true love and all that stuff that jazz.
Confessions of a Shopaholic is directed by P.J. Hogan, of My Best Friend’s Wedding and Peter Pan previously. The screenplay was written by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots) and Tracey Jackson (The Guru, The Other End of the Line). Continue Reading…
