Elizabeth Olsen and Two More Ready to KILL YOUR DARLINGS
As a freshman at Columbia, Lucien Carr had befriended Edie Parker, who introduced him to her boyfriend Jack Kerouac, then twenty-two. In turn, Carr introduced Ginsberg and Kerouac to one another and both of them to his older friend William Burroughs. Therefore, the core of the New York Beat scene had formed, with Carr at the center and as Ginsberg put it, ‘Lou (Lucien) was the glue.’
When Carr unfortunately murdered David Kammerer a childhood friend of Burroughs and himself, Kerouac was arrested as a material witness as was Burroughs, and Parker’s parents agreed to post the money if Kerouac would marry their daughter. Later, Carr served as best man when Kerouac impetuously married Joan Haverty in November 1950.
Roadside Picks Up Garden of Eden
Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to Hemingway’s Garden of Eden, directed by John Irvin and starring Mena Suvari, Jack Huston, Caterina Murino, Richard E. Grant, Matthew Modine and Carmen Maura. The screenplay was adapted from the Ernest Hemingway book by former Paris Review editor James Scott Linville, and is based on Hemingway’s final novel, a jazz-age set, erotically-charged romance that was published posthumously in 1986. Hemingway’s Garden of Eden was produced for Tranquil Seas by Lorne Thyssen and Timothy J. Lewiston. The acquisition was announced by Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff and Ian Jessel, president of Tranquil Seas, USA.
“Ernest Hemingway is one of a handful of genius writers whose work leaps from the page to the screen brilliantly,” said Cohen, “and his Garden of Eden is lush and vibrant, in the tradition of other great Hemingway adaptations like The Sun Also Rises.”

The film is based on Marks’ autobiography, which he wrote after being released from a relatively short seven year prison term (he was originally sentenced to 25 years). The guy smuggled massive amounts of marijuana and, using his ties to organized crime and international terrorist groups, controlled a large portion of the world drug trade.

Jack Huston Joins the Cast of “Twilight 3″
Jack Huston (Outlander) has signed on to appear in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”
The actor will take on the role of Royce King II in Eclipse – a human that lived during the Great Depression.
Huston will join Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Xavier Samuel, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jodelle Ferland in the third installment of the franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels. David Slade (30 Days of Night) is directing the film.
Production on Eclipse is scheduled to begin in Vancouver later this month. Its scheduled for a June 30, 2010 release.
SHRINK Trailer And Poster
The trailer and poster for the drama “Shrink,” starring Kevin Spacey, have appeared online.
”Shrink” centers on Hollywood A-list psychiatrist Henry Carter (Spacey) who has just suffered a personal tragedy. Unable to come to grips with a recent tragedy, the shrink turns into a pothead with little concern for his appearance and inability to help his patients.
Among his clients are a once-famous actress (Saffron Burrows), an insecure young writer (Mark Webber) and a comically obsessive compulsive uber-agent (Dallas Roberts). Jesse Plemons plays a pot dealer named Jesus in the film.

A few days ago we got to see the first trailer for action fantasy/sci-fi film “Outlander” and today, we have another one with more details and shows more of monster James Caviezel will battle.
Outlander begins when a space craft crashes into the majestic fjords of ancient Norway and into the time of the Vikings. From the wreckage emerge two bitter enemies: a soldier from another world – Kainan – and a bloodthirsty creature known as the Moorwen. Man and monster both seeking revenge for violence committed against them. As the Moorwen ravages the Viking world, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an unlikely alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. Combining his advanced technology with ancient Iron Age weapons, the hero leads a desperate attempt to kill the monster – before it destroys them all.
