Matthew Vaughn has some interesting plans, indeed. As usual, there are already some superheroes involved!
We’ve just learned that Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class director plans to make another superhero movie, The Golden Age, that will follow “retired superheroes who help out their grandchildren when their middle-aged parent screw up the world.”!
So, The Golden Age is based on the yet-to-be-published comic book written by British TV talk show host Jonathan Ross.

There are so many urban names for death. Reaching the top of the Hollywood usually means you play the hero, get the girl, and ride into the sunset. But sometimes, you don’t even make it to the final fade out. Sometimes, you just have been put out of your misery. The film centered on the love triangle between professional softball player Lisa Jorgenson, a corporate executive, and a major-league pitcher.

Exactly! Jack Nicholson could play the central role in a Las Vegas Comedy about four childhood friends now in their 70s reuiniting in Vegas, that is already being called Grumpy Old Men meets The Hangover.
Ok, we all understand that this is just an offer, and that Nicholson might not take it, right? But still, with a story like this, it’s really hard to imagine anybody else in this kind of role, admit it!
So, what we know about this upcoming project, goes something like this: it is a story about four estranged male childhood friends from the 50s (now in their 70’s) who reunite in Vegas to finally marry off Billy, the lifelong unmarried playboy of the group.

Jack Nicholson Struggled To Watch His Early Movies
The 70-year-old star – who has won three Oscars during his illustrious career – walked out of his own retrospective at Colorado’s Telluride Film Festival because he struggled to watch his early “desperate” performances.
“It is tremendously hard to look at your work. They did a retrospective at Telluride Film Festival and showed all the movies and I couldn’t bear it. I had to leave the cinema.”
Jack Nicholson Misquoted
Jack Nicholson insists stories claiming he warned Heath Ledger about the dangers of sleeping pills are not true, stating he never even met the tragic star.
He was asked how he felt about the actor’s death last month (Jan08) by photographers in London and he was quoted as saying, ‘I told him so’.
However, the 70-year-old star,states he was misquoted and was simply warning everyone against using that brand of pills.
He says, What I actually said was: ‘I warned them’. I had a bad experience with those sleeping pills (that Ledger apparently took).
