“The Expendables” written and directed by Stallone and also stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Charisma Carpenter, Steve Austin, Curtis Jackson, Brittany Murphy and David Zayas.
The action movie is due to hit theaters on April 23, 2010.
Jason Statham Joins The Killer Elite
Jason Statham will star in the $40 million action thriller “The Killer Elite,” based on Ranulph Fiennes‘ bestseller “The Feathermen“, reports Variety.
The story follows a group of former British special forces members who are being hunted by assassins. Statham is set to play a former SAS who is forced out of retirement to save his closest friend.
The film will be directed by commercials director Gary McKendry who only has the 2004 film “Everthing in This Country Must” under his directorial belt.
Filming is scheduled to begin this autumn in London, Paris and Australia.
Statham is currently working on the Sylvester Stallone directed actioner “The Expendables.”

Simon West to Direct Jason Statham in The Mechanic Remake
According to Variety, Jason Statham will star and Simon West is set to direct remake of the Charles Bronson hitman thriller “The Mechanic“
The story focuses on a highly-skilled but emotionally detached hitman - guess who - who is planning to retire when a young man asks to be trained up in the profession. Only problem is that this new apprentice is the son of one of the Mechanic’s victims, and may have more in mind than just a City and Guilds apprenticeship.
Filming is expected to start this Summer in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Crank 2 Review
Crank 2: High Voltage is the freak show act at a carnival. It’s so over-the-top that the phrase ceases to have meaning in this context. It’s a bizarre concoction of testosterone, adrenaline, and psychedelics. It seeks not only to top its predecessor, Crank, but to outdo itself at every turn. The problem with all of this is not a lack of entertainment value but the sense of no longer watching a movie. There aren’t any characters and there isn’t a plot. It’s an arcade video game (as is explicitly suggested by the opening credits) run amok, a series of sketches crammed together with no connective fabric. There’s all this awesome shootout scenes, and even though Chev just goes straight at them with his gun, he takes them out. If that was me, I would have found a good high point and sniped those asses.
