Check out the first trailer for Zack Snyder‘s dark and violent fantasy film Sucker Punch which stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone, Scott Glenn, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung.
Set in the 1950s, Sucker Punch follows Babydoll (Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.
Six Sexy Sucker Punch Character Posters
Warner Bros. Pictures has released six character posters for Sucker Punch, an upcoming fantasy/action flick from 300 and Watchmen director, Zack Snyder.
Sucker Punch stars Emily Browning as Babydoll, a girl confined to a mental institution by her step-father and from which she fantasizes an alternate reality. The character banners show Browning and the other wards of the institution in what we assume is full fantasy mode, because we can’t see them getting away with those kind of outfits in a real hospital. Abbie Cornish, Jon Hamm, Jena Malone, Carla Gugino, Jamie Chung, Scott Glenn and Jena Malone also star. Story is set in 1950′s.
First Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch Photo
The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has the first photo from Zack Snyder‘s Sucker Punch. In the scanned photo, Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung are seen posing alongside actor Scott Glenn.
Set in the 1950s, it tells the story of Baby Doll (Browning), who is trying to hide from the pain caused by her evil stepfather and lobotomy. She ends up in mental institution and while there she starts to imagine alternative reality. She plans to escape from that imaginary world but to do that she needs to steal five objects before she is caught by a vile man. She has 5 days to escape before being lobotomized. In order to cope with the situation, she enters the hyper-real world of her imagination, and the lines between reality and dream begin to blur. She is joined with friends who are inmates from the institution. Lessons learned in the said fantasy world could help the girls escape their real-world fate.

The official poster for Iraq War drama “The Messenger,” starring Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Jena Malone, Eamonn Walker has been released.
“The Messenger” synopsis:
With three months left in the service, Will (Ben Foster) has spent a good deal of time in army hospitals, healing scars from his time in Iraq. To make things worse, the girl he left behind (Jena Malone) has moved on with her life. Ironically, his chance at a fresh start lies in working shoulder to shoulder with Tony (Woody Harrelson), a senior officer who teaches him the ropes of his new post with the Casualty Notification Office. Will, who narrowly escaped death, must now break the news about those who didn’t.
Carla Gugino Joins Sucker Punch
Carla Gugino has joined to the cast of Zack Snyder‘s fantasy action movie “Sucker Punch.” Gugino last worked with Snyder on “Watchmen,” where she starred as the first Silk Spectre.
“SuckerPunch” which Snyder likes to call “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns” is set in the 1950s and follows Babydoll (Emily Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days.

Jamie Chung and Jena Malone Join Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch
Jamie Chung (Dragonball Evolution) and Jena Malone (Donnie Darko) have joined the all-female action cast in Zack Snyder‘s “Sucker Punch.”
Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Browning and Abbie Cornish are also set to star in the film.
