THE AVENGERS Character Portraits and Set Photos
Marvel Studios is featuring a first look at The Avengers in this week’s new issue of Entertainment Weekly. The mag, which features Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in all of their glory, has debuted online today alongside photographs, some brand new quotes from director Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jeremy Renner and character profiles on each member of the team, some of which tease important plot details.
Jeremy Renner Playing a Bank Robber for the Second Time
His performance as a battle-tested veteran William James in The Hurt Locker has quickly grabbed the attention of the global industry and the public, being nominated for and winning many awards including an Academy Award and BAFTA Nomination. He has since also received great acclaim for his supporting role of an absolute bad-ass in Ben Affleck’s The Town, has made a cameo appearance in Thor and will be taking on the role of Hawkeye in the upcoming Avengers movie, which is currently filming.
Stacy Keach Added to the Cast of The Bourne Legacy
On June 9, 2010, it was announced that Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) will be writing and directing The Bourne Legacy - the fourth installment in the spy series; on October 11, 2010, it was reported that the Bourne character will not be in The Bourne Legacy; and now, Stacy Keach has been added to the cast of The Bourne Legacy.

Paramount Pictures /Marvel have released the final scene of Captain America: The First Avenger, along with a tease for 2012’s The Avengers. Obviously, if you are trying to avoid any spoilers for the end of Captain America, then don’t watch it. Also, check out the screen grabs from the teaser trailer.

Marvel has released seven character posters for their upcoming Joss Whedon-directed superhero team-up “The Avengers”, due out in 2012. The posters features Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Incredbile Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner in costume as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
Oscar Isaac Joins The Bourne Legacy
As we promised, we’re definitely keeping an eye on the upcoming Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy project.
You all know that Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton are already on board to star in the whole thing, but it looks that one great guy is about to join them!
So here we are for a little update! According to the latest reports, Sucker Punch star Oscar Isaac has joined the cast as well!
And although we still have no plot details, we learned that Isaac will play “Number 3”, another brainwashed assassin in the film.

Marvel has released the films first official teaser poster for Joss Whedon‘s anticipated superhero movie “The Avengers“. The action adventure featuring Marvel heroes like Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johannsson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Captain America (Chris Evans), plus the villainous Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
Amanda Righetti Joins The Avengers
Amanda Righetti will probably join The Avengers.
We’re already covering Joss Whedon’s upcoming movie, so I’m sure you all know that it is already filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
So far this movie has some great cast on board, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson, but according to the latest reports, the list won’t end here!
So, The Mentalist star, Righetti, is apparently the latest addition to the above mentioned cast.
Just in case you’re wondering who Righetti might play, here are some speculations.
Sam Rockwell in Talks to Star in Better Living Through Chemistry
What is Jeremy Renner’s loss could be Sam Rockwell’s gain, which isn’t a bad thing. Something had to break after landing an Oscar nomination for his role in The Hurt Locker. Renner attached himself to several tentpoles with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol being the biggest. And something in his schedule had to give and that’s become an indie comedic thriller Better Living Through Chemistry.
