Four Thesps Join EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES
Four of them have been filled for Francesca Gregorini‘s new film: Alfred Molina, Jimmi Simpson, Frances O’Connor, and relative newcomer Aneurin Barnard. They are joining Kaya Scodelario and Jessica Biel in Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes.
The film, which will begin shooting later this month is said to focus on a troubled girl, played by Skins actress Scodelario who babysits a lifelike doll owned by her neighbor, played by Biel. The girl becomes obsessed with the neighbor, who happens to be the spitting image of the girl’s dead mother.
Jessica Biel to Join Kaya Scodelario in EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES
Jessica Biel is returning to the indie scene as the latest to join the cast of Francesca Gregorini‘s psychological drama Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes.
Scribed by Gregorini (Tanner Hall), the twisted little story follows the titular Emanuel, a troubled seventine-year-old girl who babysits her new neighbor Linda’s ‘baby,’ who turns out actually to be a doll. Emanuel goes along with the delusion while befriending Linda, due to Linda’s striking resemblance to Emanuel’s deceased mother.

This project comes from Horrible Bosses scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein with a polish by Jason Reitman, and it centers on a Las Vegas magician who breaks up with his partner and is then upstaged by a hipper magician doing dangerous and crowd-drawing tricks.

First Set Photos from Total Recall
The Columbia Pictures remake Total Recall is shooting this week the Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada, and a bunch of set photos have hit the web.
According to THR, the plot of this Len Wiseman (Underwold) version will swing from Mars back to the Earth. In the 1990 original, a man haunted by a recurring dream of voyaging to Mars buys a virtual dream trip from a company called Rekall Inc. and when he awakens he deems that he’s a secret agent destined to defeat a corrupt official scheming the production of air on Mars. THR says the new story will get rid of the Martian storyline and in its place involve nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker who starts thinking he’s a spy, although he wasn’t sure for which side.
