Joel Edgerton Locs, Jessica Chastain in Talks for Bin Laden Film

While the Republicans are calling for an investigation into whether the Obama administration granted Sony Pictures high-level access for a film on the mission that killed Osama bin Laden, The Warrior thesp Joel Edgerton has officially signed on to star in the pic.

His name has been attached back in May, but the script was unfinished and it appeared that Edgerton’s schedule would clash with shooting and he had been replaced by  Aussie thesp Jason Clarke in the lead role. But Edgerton passed on the 300 prequel and joins Clarke as the only official cast member.

Jessica Chastain Cast in Denis Villeneuve’s THE DARLING

In an interview with the Calgary Herald the acclaimed American novelist of The Sweet Hereafter and the recent Lost Memory of Skin, Russell Banks has confirmed that his novel The Darling will soon be adapted for the big-screen.

The project was previously set to be a Martin Scorsese’s follow up to The Aviator in 2004 with Cate Blanchett starring, but his plans fell through.

The third biopic about Prince William’s mother called Caught in Flight is in the works and will center around the post-Charles divorce years from 1995 during the last stages of Lady Di’s relationship with Dr. Hasnat Khan up to her sudden death on August 31st, 1997.

The Help star Jessica Chastain is reportedly set to play as Princess Diana in the film, which will be directed by Downfall’s Oliver Hirschbiegel. The script has been written by The Libertine scribe Steven Jeffreys, in which the Princess is ‘not cast in a particularly favorable light.’ Furthermore, she will be portrayed, ‘as a damaged person who stalks the doctor after he ends the affair.’
