Carnage, John C. Reilly and Jodie Foster

The second trailer for Roman Polanski‘s next film Carnage, based on the God of Carnage play by Yasmina Reza, has debuted.

Carnage follows what happens between two well-to-do couples (Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly) when their kids are involved in a scuffle at school. Turns out the incident is just the fuel that the two pairs need to start exploring and bringing up all sorts of issues within their relationships.

First Roman Polanski’s CARNAGE Trailer

John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz in Carnage

You know what, there’s something crazy about this Carnage movie that I’m sure you’re going to love. I just watched the trailer for the upcoming Roman Polanski‘s comedy, drama, or whatever a description of the movie is, and I must say that I’m quite satisfied.

First of all we have great cast, Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly on one side and Kate Winslet with Christoph Waltz on the other side.

They play two pairs of parents who meet to discuss the matter (and what that is you’ll check out if you read the rest of this report) in a civilized manner. But, trust me, those people are not civilized at all, they’re insane!

And that’s why I have the feeling that Carnage will be a great one to watch!

By Fiona | Jun 27, 2011 | Movie News (0) Comment

Jodie FosterR.I.P.D, familiar story, familiar project, but definitely something that is worth our full attention. Especially now, when we learned something great!

According to the latest reports, Jodie Foster is in negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming Robert Schwentke’s adaptation of the well-known Dark Horse comic, and a project already described as “the supernatural comedy.”

And we’re definitely ready for this lovely lady! Universal Studio shares our opinion, since the plan is for Foster to play the role of “Proctor” and to join the cast that already includes Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, who are set to star as the leads.

Well, I guess now we should all wait for the confirmation, right?

As we previously reported, producer Neil Moritz revealed that the movie is “about two cops, one recently dead and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years who work on the Rest in Peace department – which is the police department of the dead.

Jodie Foster to Direct a Sci-Fi Thriller

By Fiona | Mar 22, 2011 | Movie News (0) Comment

Jodie Foster

Jodie Foster‘s fans out there should pay a good attention now, because we just learned something great!

Our favorite lady is currently writing a sci-fi thriller (yes, a sci-fi thriller!) and of course, she plans to direct it! Ok, it’s too early to talk about details and ok, we don’t expect to see that happens soon, but we’re still curious to find out at least something about Foster’s future plans. And you?

I know you are, so check this out! In an interview with Hero Complex, Foster revealed that

there’s a family element to it, but it’s much more a genre movie. I’d like to do that ’cause that’s a world I live in as an actor but I’ve never really gone to as a director. I’d still have to have all the other stuff in a film. It can’t just be, ‘There’s a bad guy, there’s a monster.’ It has to have all the other stuff too… It’s not anywhere close to being ready… I don’t write. I rewrite, but I don’t write, so that always puts me at the mercy of some enormous talent that comes out of the woodwork that somehow has the same obsessions as me.

Wagner Moura to Play Villain in Elysium

By Nick Martin | Mar 10, 2011 | Movie News (1) Comment

Wagner Moura

Wagner Moura, best known for playing Colonel Nascimento in the kickass Brazilian films Elite Squad 1 and 2, will be playing a smart, wicked villain with a biting sense of humor, in Neill Blomkamp’s thriller Elysium.

Young Moura is the latest addition to the sci-fi project, being made by MRC. He’ll star opposite Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley and presumably Jodie Foster. Sony will theatrically release high-profile picture on March 8, 2013, in time to take advantage of Easter holiday.

Elysium is “an unabashedly big movie”, and has the same social metaphor of District 9. Damon will be playing an ex-convict and is also revealed that social classes play a major role in the world. Everything else is hidden under blankets. The film will begin pre-production in April and start shooting in Vancouver this July before moving on to shoot in Mexico City in the autumn.

Jodie Foster Talks About Her Upcoming Movie and Depression: ‘We Can’t Give Up on One Another’

By Allan Ford | Feb 8, 2011 | Movie News (1) Comment

Jodie FosterIn the new issue of the Advocate, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) presents an exclusive cover story interview with actress Jodie Foster about her upcoming new movie.

Foster directed and stars in The Beaver, which will be released in spring 2011. The movie deals with major depression and a family striving for recovery. In the moving comedy-drama, a man living with mental illness becomes disconnected from his family and needs help.

He begins to communicate through a beaver puppet.

Foster acknowledges that “depression is a serious thing …and there is nothing romantic about it,” but “we are born with comedy and tragedy and that is in some ways the human condition.”

“Depression is a part of all our lives. Everyone has experience with it either in their own families or with friends. I had a lot of personal connections,”

Foster said.
