Joel Edgerton as Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby
More The Great Gatsby news, guys! According to the latest reports, Joel Edgerton is the latest addition to Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name.
That actually means that Edgerton will join the cast that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki. Not bad at all.
So, Edgerton is now on board to play Tom Buchanan, which is the same role that Ben Affleck was previously rumored for.
Kathryn Bigelow’s Kill Bin Laden
Ok, they already describe this as one of the most anticipated and potentially controversial movies, but I’m a little bit skeptical about the upcoming Kathryn Bigelow‘s movie with working title Kill Bin Laden.
One thing is for sure – this lady definitely has a lot of luck!
First of all – she won an Oscar for rather boring movie, and now, just when she started to work on a movie described as “the hunt for Bin Laden” – o, well, President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden had been killed!
So, once again we have Bigelow on board together with Mark Boal (and who else?) for “black ops thriller” that “was written about the exact special ops unit that did kill him, although the original script was about a failed mission.”
Yeah, we know all of that thanks to Variety, and as you already guess, they will now have to rewrite the whole thing, because – the mission was a success after all (?). Happy ending?
Jeremy Renner has been Formally Offered the Lead Role in The Bourne Legacy but hasn’t Taken It Yet
So, we’ve finally got the more deeds regarding the lead role for The Bourne Legacy sequel, I promised you until Monday. This may seem a little late, but in any case, the assumptions prove to be true – according to Deadline Jeremy Renner has reportedly been formally offered a role of an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than Treadstone brainwashing program that has produced Bourne.

The Thing Trailer Leaked

The first trailer for Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 horror movie The Thing was premiered this weekend at New York Comic Con and now the bootleg trailer has leaked online.
The Thing synopsis:
Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has traveled to Antarctica for the expedition of her lifetime. Joining a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across an extraterrestrial ship buried in the ice, she discovers an organism that seems to have died in the crash eons ago. But it is about to wake up.
When a simple experiment frees the alien from its frozen prison, Kate must join the crew’s pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to keep it from killing them off one at a time. And in this vast, intense land, a parasite that can mimic anything it touches will pit human against human as it tries to survive and flourish.
First Official Photos From The Thing Prequel
Universal Studios have debuted the first official photos from their upcoming prequel to John Carpenter classic movie, The Thing. The movie has had many incarnations in the past with the most notable being the 1982 version that starred Kurt Russell.
Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home to an isolated outpost where a discovery full of scientific possibility becomes a mission of survival when an alien is unearthed by a crew of international scientists. The shape-shifting creature, accidentally unleashed at this marooned colony, has the ability to turn itself into a perfect replica of any living being. It can look just like you or me, but inside, it remains inhuman. In the thriller The Thing, paranoia spreads like an epidemic among a group of researchers as they’re infected, one by one, by a mystery from another planet.
