‘Speed Racer’ Trailer No2

Another trailer for the upcoming adventure of gelled up petrol head ‘Speed Racer’ has revved up and its showing even more curvy cars with gadgets that’d make a certain secret agent jealous.
Flipping, slipping and swerving out of control, this new trailer is just as dizzying as the previous ones. The only slight difference is that we get to learn a bit more about the titled lad (but it’s still mainly that he’s a really good driver).
The Wachowski Brothers leave the dark universe of ‘The Matrix’ behind and step into the almost Willy Wonka-like world of ‘Speed Racer’. This new adaptation sees the world’s greatest driver in the race for his life as he aims to take the title of The Crucible, a race that was previously run by his older brother who mysteriously died in the event - or did he?

Speed Racer - Synopsis, Movie Stills and Poster
Based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the live-action “Speed Racer” will showcase the kind of revolutionary visual effects and cutting-edge storytelling that have become the benchmarks of the Wachowski brothers’ films.
Hurtling down the track, careening around, over and through the competition, Speed Racer is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless.

His only real competition is the memory of the brother he idolized-the legendary Rex Racer - whose death in a race has left behind a legacy that Speed is driven to fulfill. Speed is loyal to the family racing business, led by his father, Pops Racer, the designer of Speed’s thundering Mach 5.
