4 minute Comic-Con Megamind Trailer
We have added a new four minute trailer for the upcoming superhero comedy Megamind, shown Thursday at Comic-Con 2010. The CGI animated film directed by Tom McGrath stars the vocal talents of Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill.
Megamind synopsis: When super villain Megamind (Ferrell) defeats his archrival Metro Man (Pitt), the world should be his oyster. But instead, Megamind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a point for him. So, he creates a new superhero rival, Titan (Hill). Unfortunately, the new hero wants to be a super villain, too. Caught in the middle, star reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Fey) asks the tough questions: Who can we turn to? Who has what it takes to stand up to this menace? Who will defend the innocent? Megamind! That’s who.
Chris Pratt Joins Moneyball
NBC’s Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt is set to star in the upcoming Bennett Miller‘s movie Moneyball.
The movie is an adaptation of Michael Lewis’ 2003 book with the same title, although we should add “The Art of Winning an Unfair Game” part, since that’s, perhaps, the best explanation of this game-winning-strategy story.
The movie will follow: “Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget, by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.”
Pratt “will play Scott Hatteberg, whose career as a catcher for the Boston Red Sox ended after he ruptured a nerve in his elbow and could no longer throw a ball post-surgery.
He was recruited by the Oakland A’s the following year to play first base, and he helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2002 and 2003 with strong batting as a designated hitter.”

Get Him to the Greek Review
The golden age of comedy — this new golden age, which will only be apparent years from now, when it’s over — continues with the release of “Get Him to the Greek,” which is so comically fertile and yet so grounded in the reality of its characters that it’s really a kind of Marvel.
There is a quick and simple litmus test to tell whether or not you’ll enjoy Get Him to the Greek. If you found Aldous Snow, Russell Brand‘s caricature of a rock star, to be one of the funnier elements of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, then you will no doubt have a riot with the increased raunchiness his character once again brings to the screen for director Nicholas Stoller. If, for whatever reason, you find Brand’s larger-than-life presence to be as insufferable as the real rock stars he’s lampooning, chances are good his spin-off film will do little to convince you there’s more to him than just an outrageous persona. Get Him to the Greek is exactly what the trailers advertise: Aldous Snow turned to 11…read more [Cinematical]
