Red Om Films, the production company headed by Julia Roberts, has picked up screen rights to the upcoming non-fiction book “In the Neighborhood,” by Peter Lovenheim. The book is set for release next April.
“In the Neighborhood” starts with Lovenheim’s realization of a lack of community in his suburban hometown. In an effort to get to know his neighbors better, he asks if he can come to their homes for sleepovers.
His goal: to facilitate something more than the feeling of strangers living with strangers in modern suburbia.

Duplicity Review
‘Duplicity‘ is an enormously entertaining Hollywood escapade, cramming in enough upscale locations, narrative switchbacks and romantic intrigue to keep an audience rapt. But there’s a sneaking suspicion we’ve seen this before: James Newton Howard’s overbearing beats ‘n’ strings soundtrack is never more than David Holmes-lite, while both Owen and Roberts seem a little too at ease in this polished world of power suits and snappy repartee…[TimeOut London]
MI5 agent Ray Koval (Clive Owen) and CIA operative Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) shared a night of passion in 2003 before she double crossed him the next morning. Five years later they cross paths again when they’re both working for corporate CEO Richard Garsik (Paul Giamatti), stealing business secrets from Garsik’s rival Howard Tully (Tom Wilkinson). But it turns out Ray and Claire have their own plan to screw over both companies so they can make off with millions, and each other.
The buzz: Writer-director Tony Gilroy’s follow-up to his critically acclaimed Oscar nominated debut “Michael Clayton” also marks Roberts’ first leading role on screen since 2004’s “Closer” (which happened to co-star Owen in a role that landed him an Oscar nomination). Add in reliable character actors Giamatti and Wilkinson and you seem to have a can’t miss proposition for discriminating adult audiences… [MetroMix]

Julia Roberts Too Old For Pretty Woman 2
Hollywood beauty and the Oscar-winning star Julia Roberts has laughed off rumours of a sequel to her 1990 hit movie “Pretty Woman“, insisting at 41 she’s too old to play a prostitute.
Roberts found fame with her breakthrough 1990 movie “Pretty Woman”, in which she starred as prostitute Vivian Ward opposite Richard Gere as a wealthy businessman looking for love.
Roberts, Gere and Garry Marshall (director) last year teamed for the equally fluffy comedy hit “Runaway Bride.”
The actress celebrated her birthday with a star-studded dinner in San Francisco on Monday night.
Roberts joined husband Danny Moder and actor friends Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Bruce Willis, Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn, Robin Wright Penn and Billy Crystal at celebrity chef Traci Des Jardins’ Jardiniere restaurant after the performance raising funds for late Newman’s charities.
"Charlie Wilson’s War" Movie Review
It’s amazing to me that a film like Charlie Wilson’s War, a film about key events in the United State’s history, a film where the consequences of the events are being felt very harshly today, a film with MULTIPLE Oscar winners like Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman can get so little attention when coming into the theaters. Don’t get me wrong, Charlie Wilson’s War hasn’t been invisible, but you’d expect a hell of a lot better marketing campaign then what it got.
Tom Hanks is one of those very few actors that forces you to assume whatever movie he will be appearing in will automatically be quality stuff. His role selection over the years has been insanely good and as a result, his reputation, awards shelf and ultimately his legacy as one of the all time great Hollywood leading men continues to grow. Does Charlie Wilson’s War help or hurt that reputation or legacy? IT HELPS!
L.A. Premiere of ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’
Julia Roberts is on the list of top earning women in Hollywood, and she keeps getting better as her career progresses. She showed up to the premiere of hernew film “Charlie Wilson’s War”. Tom Hanks arrived with his wife Rita If his career thus far is any indication, “Charlie Wilson’s War” is a sure fire hit.
The drama centers on a rogue Texas congressman (Hanks) whose penchant for booze and women earned him the nickname Good Time Charlie. He watched his political career almost go down the drain in the early 1980s when he was caught in a hot tub tryst with two cocaine-sniffing showgirls in Las Vegas.
He survived the scandal and ended up overseeing the largest and most successful covert CIA operation in history; his efforts to fund resistance fighters in Afghanistan hastened the fall of the Iron Curtain.
