Check out the trailer for Channing Tatum‘s next film, The Son of No One.
The Son of No One follows two friends (Tatum and Tracy Morgan) forced to face the consequences of a murder they committed — and got away with — 16 years earlier. Tatum’s character Jonathan “Milk” White has gone on to a successful career with the police force and has a happy home life with his wife (Katie Holmes) and Child. Morgan’s character Vinnie has kind of gone the other way. When Milk is assigned to the precinct where he grew up, his decade-and-a-half-old secret threatens to tear apart his life and his family.
Cannes 2010 Winners
This year’s Cannes Film Festival is over. No more red carpet glamour, photos of celebrities wearing designer dresses, perfect make-up with perfect hairstyles, but one thing is for sure – movie reports are still actual!
So, we are here today to share the Complete list of 2010 Winners. As usual, we’ll start with The Palme d’Or that went to Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
We already wrote about this movie, but we are going to remind you that this “Uncle Boonmee” is actually the feature film element of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Primitive project, which deals with ideas of extinction and the recollection of past lives.
Certified Copy by Abbas Kiarostami: Cannes 2010
Certified Copy (Copie Conforme) is Abbas Kiarostami‘s first film made outside Iran and In Competition for the Palme D’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
What’s so special about this one, and why they already call it one of the more anticipated films? Ok, we do know that lovely Juliette Binoche and William Shimell are in the movie, but we still think it’s mostly because they describe it as ”a universal story that could happen to anyone, anywhere…”
Cannes Film Festival 2010 Poster
We already had a little chat about one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious film festivals, the upcoming Cannes Film Festival 2010, so you all know that Ridley Scott directed Robin Hood will have an honour to open it.
You also know that this would be the 63rd film festival in Cannes history, so let big red carpet show begin, on Wednesday May 12th 2010!
Although the official selections are going to be announced April 15th, there are already some rumors about the movies for potential contention.
So, we have some speculations that include pretty interesting titles, like Julie Bertucelli‘s The Tree (starring last year’s Cannes Best Actress winner Charlotte Gainsbourg), Peter Mullan‘s Neds and …But Film Is My Mistress (the second part of Stig Bjorkman’s Ingmar Bergmantribute) and all of this films are all likely to be slotted in various festival programs.
But then, the funny thing happened. Among all this titles (and much more), we had a chance to hear that two movies that are still not expected at big screen, will possibly be screened in Cannes!
