Katie Holmes In “The Romantics”
Katie Holmes will star in new comedy “The Romantics,” replacing Liv Tyler.
Galt Niederhoffer will direct the movie. She also wrote the script based on her own novel.
“The Romantics” will also star Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Adam Brody, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood and Jeremy Strong.
The movie revolves around eight friends from college who reunite for a wedding.
Holmes will play Laura, the maid of honor to Anna Paquin’s Lila, the bride. Laura and Lila are best friends who both have a past with the groom (Josh Duhamel).
“The Romantics,” originally supposed to film in the summer, begins shooting this week in New York.
Katie Holmes In Del Toro’s Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark
Katie Holmes has been cast in the lead role in the thriller “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.”
Guillermo del Toro is producing with Mark Johnson but more important is that del Toro co-wrote the script with Matthew Robbins.
Troy Nixey, a comicbook artist, will be making his directorial debut under the mentoring of del Toro. Del Toro first discovered Nixey after watching his short film “Latchkey’s Lament” that captured the tone del Toro wanted for this project.
“Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” is based on a 1973 ABC telepic about a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend and discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.
The film will shoot this summer in Melbourne as a “Guillermo del Toro Presentation.”
“Extra Man” Great Cast: Kline, Dano, Holmes and Reilly
Kevin Kline, Paul Dano, Katie Holmes and John C Reilly are all set to star in forthcoming comedy “The Extra Man.”

The film is based on a novel by Jonathan Ames; Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman wrote the script with the author. Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Stephanie Davis (The Caveman’s Valentine) will produce.
“This is a film for our times, these hilarious characters living on the edge of enormous wealth, scrapping for small pieces of the pie. I suspect a lot of people will be able to identify nowadays,” said producer Anthony Bregman.
Berman and Pulcini will direct (The duo last directed “The Nanny Diaries”). “The Extra Man” is set to enter production this February in New York.
Will Smith Wants To Team Up With Tom Cruise In Future Movie
Will Smith is planning to make a film with Tom Cruise.
The “Hancock” actor revealed he has been trying to find a suitable project for them to star in, but has so far been unsuccessful.
Will said:
“Me and Tom have to work together. I think that would just be genius. We have been pitching some ideas back and forth and trying to find a movie that will be big enough for both of us.”
The actor ” who is close friends with the “Top Gun” actor and his wife Katie Holmes ” also said Tom is a “warm-hearted” person.
Will has also expressed an interest in teaming up with “There Will Be Blood” actor Daniel Day Lewis.
He added:
“He is a beast. I want to work with people who are going to force me to bring my game up.”
‘Hancock’, also starring Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman, sees Will’s alcoholic superhero character employ a PR expert to improve his image.

Tom and Katie look great with each other and make a perfect match but recent swell on Tom’s cheeks are clear indication that now it is high time for him to kick off for some workout in gym!

‘Mad Money’ – new comedy (2008)
