Kevin Costner to Direct and Star in “A Little War of Our Own”
Kevin Costner will both star in and direct the World War II action-adventure/drama “A Little War of Our Own” for Beacon Pictures, says Variety.
“A Little War of Our Own,” written by Dan Gordon, centers on a sheriff who must try to keep a town from exploding into violence. Beacon Pictures and Costner are beginning to cast, including pic’s other lead role — that of a German U-boat commander. Gordon, also wrote the 1994 Costner film “Wyatt Earp.”

Kevin Costner Considers “The Bodyguard” Sequel
Actor Kevin Costner has raised hopes for a sequel to his 1992 film “The Bodyguard” after admitting he would love to reprise his role as the former Secret Service agent.
Costner, who starred as bodyguard Frank Farmer opposite Whitney Houston‘s character Rachel Marron in the hit movie, has never made a sequel to any of his films, but he reveals he already has a plot idea in mind should studio bosses change their minds.

Kevin Costner Settles Lawsuit
Kevin Costner has settled a 2005 lawsuit he brought against a production company for breaking a film contract, legal sources said.
Costner, who won Oscars for best film and best director for his 1990 movie ‘Dances with Wolves’ said he had agreed with Ascendant Pictures in 2004 to play the lead role in a film, ‘Taming Ben Taylor’.
According to his suit, the company withdrew from the contract in 2005, costing Costner some US$8 million in lost earnings.
The actor’s lawyer William Bossen confirmed that a settlement had been reached. The details of the settlement were not released.
