Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, Andy Samberg Join Hotel Transylvania Voice Cast
Hotel Transylvania sounds a little bit creepy, although they already describe this project as an upcoming Sony Pictures Animation’s 3D monster-themed family comedy.
But now, when we learned that Adam Sandler will be the part of the voice cast – things are quite clear. All Sandler’s fans out there, get ready for the Genndy Tartakovsky‘s movie that will have some interesting names involved in the whole thing.
So, welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free from meddling from the human world. But here’s a little known fact about Dracula: he is not only the Prince of Darkness; he is also a dad.
Over-protective of his teenage daughter, Mavis, Dracula fabricates tales of elaborate dangers to dissuade her adventurous spirit. As a haven for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – can kick back in safety and peace.
For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.

Box Office: No Strings Attached Estimated Weekend $20M
Ivan Reitman-directed romantic comedy No Strings Attached, opened solidly to $7.3 million Friday, according to studio estimates, putting the R-rated Ashton Kutcher/Natalie Portman film on pace to match pre-release tracking forecasts of around $20 million. Budgeted at $25 million, “No Strings” debuted in 3,018 theaters with semisoft reviews (49 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), but great tracking among women under 25, with 57 percent of that demographic convey explicit interest in seeing the movie, according to one tracking firm.
The first thing you should know about “No Strings Attached” is that it’s not a true romantic comedy but a sex comedy with romantic ambitions; the second is that it’s brighter and cuter than many of its recent fellows. On opening night, the movie played to theaters across the country packed full of young women (and a lot of guys who want to make out).
Sony’s The Green Hornet finished in second place Friday with $7.3 million. The $130 million Seth Rogen 3D action movie should cross the $60 million mark domestically by the end of the weekend, while experiencing a week-to-week drop of under 50 percent, if projections delay.
Universal buddy comedy The Dilemma is in third place with an estimated $3 million on Friday. The Ron Howard-directed movie, which stars Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, is expected to bring in over $9 million this weekend and also drop less than 50 percent from its premiere week.
Frank Coraci Will Direct Kevin James in Mixed Martial Arts Film
Let’s talk about an untitled comedy about martial arts. Or something like that.
Anyway, we have the news that goes like this: Frank Coraci (you remember the man from The Wedding Singer) has signed on to direct Kevin James in (still) untitled comedy.
Not such a surprise actually, because we already know the duo from the upcoming comedy Zookeeper (which stars James, directed by Coraci).
So, at this moment we know that Allan Loeb (responsible for The Switch) is behind the story and that the actor will play:
“a physics teacher who moonlights as a mixed martial arts fighter to raise money and save the music program his students love. He makes it all the way to the UFC.”
Salma Hayek in Kevin James’ MMA Movie
“We’ve got a movie coming to town. Salma Hayek comes back to town, too.” Yes, please!
That sounds just perfect, especially when we add another name to the upcoming movie, Kevin James!
Perfect combination for The Sony Pictures comedy that is being written by The Switch screenwriter Allan Loeb.
